Never use ethanol gasoline. Here is a list of real gas http://pure-gas.org/ Ethanol burns too hot and ruins warranties and the engine. Once you have your spark back i don't see why it wouldn't run unless something in the carburetor is not allowing the fuel to draw by a low pressure in the venturi. Nothing carburetor cleaner can't fix (or a small rebuild)
You will fill your blower with low test/ grade of gasoline..no need for the high test. You also said that it is 4 cycle, so DO NOT MIX OIL WITH THE GASOLINE... Please rate me Bud
I would have a cylinder compression done on the engine before spending any more money. It may be below 100 psi and will not run. Plus if your fuel mixture is over 30 days old I would mix up some fresh fuel mixture. Or the diaphragm in the carburetor has become stiff and is not pumping any fuel. Good Day.
