Tim, first turn key on engage and disengage blade button. See if you can hear the clutch making a clicking noise. If not check switch., if not your problem is in the clutch.

Under the mower below the seat of the rider, at the rear of the tractor, look up and you will find the transmission there. There is a belt that runs on the pulley under there, and this belt can slip off when it gets worn or stretched. Sort of a tough spot to get to but, that is most probably cause.

Hi,
There is a pin or a bolt that either broke or came out of the linkage...
Follow the linkage and see if there are two pieces unhooked that seem like they should be together...look also for a place that the paint is worn off but there is no pin or bolt...
Kinda hard to direct you from here but I'm sure that something came apart while you were rolling backwards...
