How to install correction tape in the GX-6500 Typewriter?

Move carrier to middle with spacebar.
Open lid, remove black ribbon and old correction tape.
Gently pull new tape apart a few inches. attach take-up spool (empty one) to right post.
Pass through right ribbon guide, sticky side faces platen!
Unspool carefully thread through left ribbon guide.
Attach feeder spool to the left post.
Turn the right spool to tighten.

Where can i buy correction tape for the brother gx 6750?

Correction tapes are available at any office supply store you want an IBM selectric DRY lift off.
General ribbon T355.

I am having problems changing the correctable ribbon. It does not correct after installation.

if it prints but doesn't correct, it is probably a problem with the correction tape. make sure the tape is instaled in the correct postion with the dull side towards the paper

Lift off tape

Does the tape lift up far enough for correction? If so check to be sure the dull side of the tape is facing the paper. Then be sure you are using a correctable ribbon, the feed wheel should be either yellow or orange. DickyO

I have a GX 6750 electronic typewriter. replaced the correction tape ribbon and it wont work. I can still type but am unable to use this wonderful feature. tried a few times taking it out and putting it...

Be sure the dull side of the correction tape is toward the platen.

Check the print wheel to see if any spokes are bent or missing, be sure that you have the proper correction tape (tack free) and that you are not in proportional space or have an international print wheel.
