SOURCE: Getting "E" error icon with orange light flashing above by ink drop icon

click on start, then click run, type in the word services.msc, you will then get a list of options scroll down the lost to the letter p and find the word print spooler. click print spooler once then in the left corner you will have to options, either to stop or refresh, before doing anything take the usb out of the back of the printer, then click on stop, then click start, then click refresh, after this put your usb back in the printer, and that ''should'' solve the problem. email me if works or does not, thanks

SOURCE: orange ink light keeps flashing and printer won't print

hello,
To correct this problem, unlock the carriage from the printer‘s capping station.

  1. Lift the lid to the printer (cartridges are on the right side.)
  2. Turn the printer off, then power it on again.
  3. Unplug the power cable from the back of the printer when the grinding noise starts.
  4. Move the carriage towards the middle of the printer (this procedure may take a couple of tries to get the timing correct.)
  5. Take out the cartridges and close the top cover.
  6. Reconnect the power cord. The power and the resume lights (green and red) should be on.
  7. Open the top cover, reinstall the cartridges, and close the top cover.
  8. The printer should print the alignment page.
  9. Print from another application.
    thank u

SOURCE: I have installed 2 new ink cartridges. The orange

Are the cartridges genuine new hp, or are they compatibles, or refills? If not genuine hp, get some and see if that solves your problem.

SOURCE: print job cancel wont work

Hi, if the print job doesn't get deleted after a restart of your computer, do the following:
Click on start -> Run, then enter: services.msc Click OK to open the Services windows. Locate the entry "Print Spooler" in the Services list. Click it and choose "Stop" and "Restart". Your print job should then be deleted.

Blinng orange light

Answer Part 1 of 2

An error has occurred in the printer. The number of flashes indicates the type of error, as outlined below. Check the cause and take appropriate action.
Two flashes: Out of paper or paper feed error
Reload the paper correctly and press the RESUME/CANCEL button.
Three flashes: Paper jam
If paper has jammed in the printer, clear the jam, reload the paper in the printer correctly and press the RESUME/CANCEL button.
See Paper Jams
Four flashes: Ink tank is not installed properly
Open the Print Head Cover and check whether an ink tank is installed. If an ink tank is installed, push the button of the ink tank, and reinstall the ink tank properly.
Five flashes: No Print Head installed, or Print Head failure
Install a Print Head.
When the error continues, contact a Canon service representative.
Eight flashes: Waste ink absorber almost full
Ink used for cleaning is absorbed in a waste ink absorber placed in the printer. Eight flashes indicate that the waste ink absorber is nearly full. Press the RESUME/CANCEL button to cancel the error so that you can continue printing.
Important
If this error occurs, replacement of the waste ink absorber and maintenance of the printer are required. Canon recommends to contact a Canon service representative as soon as possible. Once the waste ink absorber becomes completely full, it cannot be printed until the Waste ink tank is exchanged.

Nine flashes: A specified period of time has lapsed without receiving a response from a digital camera or digital video camcorder / The digital camera or digital video camcorder connected is not compatible with this printer

When i turn my printer on the light flashes green once and then orange 5 times. cannot get past this stage - any ideas?

Here are all the flashing explanations:

Two flashes: Out of paper or paper feed error

Reload the paper correctly and press the RESUME/CANCEL button.

Three flashes: Paper jam

If paper has jammed in the printer, clear the jam, reload the paper in the printer correctly and press the RESUME/CANCEL button.

See Paper Jams

Four flashes: Empty ink tank

If you press the RESUME/CANCEL button, it will continue printing with an empty ink tank. After printing is finished, replace the ink tank immediately. If you continue printing with an empty ink tank, it may cause damage to your printer.

Refer to your Quick Start Guide for instructions on how to replace an ink tank.

Five flashes: No print head installed/Defective print head

Install the print head. Also, ensure that the protective tape has been removed.

If reinstalling the print head does not solve the problem, replace it with a new one. Contact the Customer Care Center.

Eight flashes: Waste ink tank almost full

The printer has a built-in waste ink tank for the ink used during print head cleaning. Eight flashes indicates that the waste ink tank is nearly full. Press the RESUME/CANCEL button to cancel the error so you can continue printing. Before the waste ink tank becomes completely full, contact the Customer Care Center.
