The screen on my Sony Bravia had started when you turn it on it would just be a mass off flickering lines across the screen but the picture would always come back on. Now it's just completely white with no picture at all any ideas what I need to change to repair it ? Thanks
Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Check your power supply. Is it plugged in to the wall or a powerstrip? You might be overloading the powerstrip. Could be a source signal problem. Does this just happen when watching cable TV or does it do it on dvd's as well? Through the PC it is probably the viseo card, try reducing the resolution output from the computer.

Check power supply for the 24Volts connected to the backlight inverter ,bad caps could be the fault

Yeah we have the same exact problem here. Defective TV....ours would correct itself after 30 mins, but now it's blurry all the time. I'm never dropping 2K on a SONY tv again.
