Apparently the manual for VR613HF is functionally the same as the manual for the VR612HD rca vcr.

search your vcr manual through the internet.. google or yahoo.. then search for your vcr model..

Try a new tape, or put a piece of tape over the hole found in the back of the tape you are using. If the record safety tab is still present it may be bent. A piece of tape will rectify this too.
The tab is there to protect the tape from being recorded over by accident. If removed or bent slightly, the vcr will detect it and will not record on the tape.
Most VCRs will eject the tape, or show some kind of error message.

RC-AVR03is model number of remote control of Aiwa VCR and is does not have any separate instruction manual, post your Aiwa VCR model number (would be written at rear of VCR) to provide you instruction manual copy.

Is it just folded over with a thin line of light thru the middle of screen. It is a vertical collapse. Vertical Ic is loosing connection with the board or failing Already. resolder first then see if it can actually solve it. If not check capacitor or neighboring components within vertical circuit or replace the vertical IC and check if this solves the problem.

If your not inclened in electronics, have it service by a qualified one.
