My gas oven is not heating to tempature. Example:I turn the oven temp to 400 degrees, to cook something that should take 20 mintues to cook will take 60 minutes. The pilot light is on and the flame is blue. I've used two different propane tanks so that's not my problem. Anyone have any ideas?
You more than likely have a defective oven sensor. For some reason the sensors tend to go after a few years of use. It is in the upper right or left hand corner and looks like a probe sticking through the inside back of the range. When you open the door you just look towards the top back left or right corner there are 2 screw securing it to the back. Gently pull it forward. You will see a couple of small wires feed into as you pull it in. On most you will see a plug in connector come through the hole if not you may have to just splice the new one in.

my gas oven is not heating to temp. if i turn it to 400 it feels like 200 the flame is on and everything else works fine someone help me!
The broiler will lite but the same for us, you can hear the oven lite and then not heat up. Is the broiler just an open flame and has nothing to do with the thermostatic control??

1. Takes up to 10 minutes of actuating the pilot flame before flame will stay lit. Have replaced the thermocouple itself with no improvement. 2. If oven temp. is set for 375 to 400, the oven shuts down completely (including pilot) when the called for temp is reached. The appliance is 20 plus years old but these problems are only a few years old.
just converted the stove to nat gas from propane, changed all the orrifices, could it be the burner / air handler adjustment? Flame looks like its about a 1/2" and is solid blue. Took 21 minutes to reach 500 degrees
ignites fine until after being up to heat for 10 minutes or so?
