SOURCE: where is the water pump on a 1985 yamaha 25 horse?

In the leg, undo the gear link and undo the bolts that hold the lower half of the leg on, they are above the water intake pointing up, don't forget the bolt neat the prop. Wiggle the leg off and put it on the bench. The drive shaft protrudes from the center of the water pump housing, remove the bolts and slide the housing off. When you replace the impeller make sure the fins are folded in the correct direction to avoid pinching. Be sure to align the water cooling pipes when reassembling the leg.

Cheers, Timo

if yes, is it flashed at ever use? OOPS;.

you do know salt water wrecks it all, in the end.
thAT tell tale hole must squirt. IT IS ON THE PUMP OUTPUT;.
SO THERE IS NO OUTPUT NOW.(PUMP)
if not , (per above new parts) engine block must be dismantled
and all water jackets proved clear.

My 1995 90 horse Yamaha runs 5 at 5/8 throttle but if you open it wide open for about two minute alarm goes off and it shuts itself down what's the problem

alarms that shut the engine down will be connected to engine head temperature, water pump pressure /flow or fuel mixture
check that when a full rpms there is a good water flow from the telltale or if you have a pressure gauge fitted for the cooling system check that it is at operating pressure
check that there is not an over heating problem or a fuel flow when there is a need for full fuel flow
discuss the prob lem with an accredited service agent to check for service bulletins on the problem

Does motor on 1975 25 horse evinrude have to be in gear for water pump to work

The water pump HAS to be working whenever the motor is started. You'll burn you water pump impeller out very quickly if it isn't.

My 80 model 50 horse motor is not taking water from the lower unit up to the motor. i was told to take the lower unit off and check the pump which the pump is pumping water but alot of water is coming out...

Make sure the water tube is connected to the block Two holes in the block one for the driveshaft one for the water intake it may have a rubber hose or an "O" ring to make the proper seal.If it is connected it could be salt corrosion in the block or a bad thermostat

I have a Century 1081 115v, 2 speed pump for my waterfeature. The motor runs fine in low and high spped, the pump impeller is spinning but it dies not pump water. It is a 3/4 horse. The waterfall reservoir...

I don't know the answer to this ... your pool service company can advise you. To my way of thinking, you are asking a lot of a 3/4 horse. I have a 1 1/2 horse lifting water in a two inch pipe about 4 feet to my water feature with no reservoir.

Since you have a two inch pipe, why not run a bigger motor? I have two HP on all my filtered lines which are 2" suction and 2" discharge.

Are you absolutely sure you have suction? ... and no air leaks on the suction side?

How to remove the water pump for Dodge Intrepid 2000

Loosen the four bolts for the water pump pulley. Its the near the top front of motor and does not have any grooves in it. There maybe a plastic cover with the belt routing diagram on it. remove it. Remove the serpentine belt. Remove the 6 or 8 bolts that hold the water pump in a circle. Remove water pump (may have to pry it off alittle). Carefully clean the gasket area. install new gasket and water pump and reinstall rest.
