there should be a removable "button" on the faucet base below the handle. under there, there should be a set screw. loosen the screw, remove the handle. now u can adjust the base, collar, etc. to ur liking...don't forget to reassemble everything the same way u removed them.
Testimonial: "that was one reason I was looking for a diagram to show EXATLY how everything goes back !! will try your suggestion thanks"

easy fix, shut-off water at under-counter angle valves and water meter, pop-out the blue and red insert located on the front of the handle of the faucet, turn faucet on to relieve pressure, loosen allen screw under red and blue insert, pull handle up, remove nut under handle, remove plastic insert gasket and stem under the nut, notice two rubber gaskets.... remove them and the springs behind them and replace, when putting the insides of the faucet back in pay close attention to the notches and grooves,,,, the parts only go back one way....

Normally you just turn that ring, counter clockwise. If too hard to turn, I usually put a rag over it, to avoid scratching, and use a pair of channel lock pliers, and squeeze just hard enough not to slip.

Remove the set screw holding the handle on. Pull the handle off and then remove the large diameter slotted nut holding the ball valve in place. After you remove that the spout, remove the ball valve abd then just pull the spout up and off. You may have to work it back and forth and you may have to spray some WD40 and let it sit overnight. It will come off.
