SOURCE: water in the bleach dispenser

The bleach dispenser is a syphon system. When you put in the bleach , it fills the reservoir to a point just below the syphon point. Your bleach tray has a tube attached to it, with a loose cap around the tube that causes the bleach to be delivered to the washload when the water is added. Remove the cap over the tube in your bleach tray. You'll also note a similar arrangement for your softener dispenser. Clean both caps and tubes. Make sure that the caps fit properly back down over the tubes. The syphoning effect will work only up to the point that the circuit is broken by air. If your cap sits up too high, the syphon effect is broken early, leaving residue (water) in the dispenser.

SOURCE: Washing Machine Keeps Filling with Water through Detergent dispen

This machine has a water valve that works on vaccuum from the tub. You will see a small clear hose that runs from the side of the tub up to this valve. This valve is adjustable to change the water level in the tub to desired setting on some machines, but if it goes bad, it will not shut off, thus overflowing the tub. Find this valve and replace it if adjustment does not work.

SOURCE: detergent dispenser does not empty after washing

it could be either a leaking water inlet valve or the pump is not emptying all the water from the machine and when it goes in to spin centrafugal force forces water back up the filler pipe

SOURCE: Water runs from out the detergent dispenser on my front loader

Try pulling the drawer out again and look in the hole. Look on the bottom for detergent or softener piled up and allowing the water to come out the door or anything clogging the tube in the back of the hole. Look on the top, there are a bunch of little holes, make sure none of these are clogged, clean with a toothbrush and sewing pin if clogged. Take the drawer completely apart and clean thoroughly, check for any cracks. If nothing is found here Take the lid off with the 3 screws in the back and push the lid toward the back of washer and lift off. Run the washer and check for the leaks with a flashlight. DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING ELECTRICAL. As there is a shock hazard with the lid off.
Thank you

Finish dishwashing product does not dissolve

Many dishwashing detergents need a water temperature of 140 degrees to dissolve. If your water is at the correct temperature, the only other suggestion I have is to make sure the detergent dispense is not blocked by large objects such as baking sheets, frying pans etc. If the dispenser cannot open fully, the detergent won't dissolve.
I hope one of these suggestions helps you. If it does, please rate my effectiveness. Thanks.

Detergent stays in the dispenser

Clean and dry your dispenser prior to filling with detergent.
Use only fresh detergent.
Do not place anything ie. cookie sheets, cutting boards in the path of the water obstructing the dispenser.
Do not allow anything to fall between the racks and stop the spray arms from turning.
Always turn the hot water on at the sink prior to starting you dishwasher they use less than 2 gallonsof water in the initial cycle and they require 120 deg f water. Unless you have hot water recirculation in your home.
If you have low water volume or low water pressure due to bad impellor or windings in circulation pump. The water volume or pressure will be insuficient to reach the dispenser.

The softener holder just fills with water but will not drain.

Is water left in the dispenser at the end of the cycle?
About two tablespoons of water remaining in the dispenser compartment at the end of the cycle is normal. At the end of the wash cycle, fresh water automatically cleans the dispenser. Check that the cycle is complete before opening the dispenser drawer.
Is the dispenser drawer clogged?
A clogged dispenser can block the flow of water through the dispenser and cause water to leak out. Manually remove the dispenser, and clean any leftover detergent or additives that could clog the flow of water through the dispenser. Also, check that the detergent drawer is always completely closed during the cycle. If the drawer is not closed completely, water can leak out onto the floor.
Are the additives dispensing too early?
Here are a few things that can cause the additives (detergent, fabric softener or liquid chlorine bleach) to dispense early:
  • Check that the dispenser is not overfilled. Do not fill past the MAX fill lines on the dispenser. Overfilling can cause early dispensing of liquid chlorine bleach and/or fabric softener.
  • Check that the detergent separator is in the correct position. For liquid detergent, the separator should be in the front position. For powdered detergent, the separator should be in the rear position. If the separator is in the rear position while you are using liquid detergent, it will dispense immediately, which is not how it is designed to work.
  • Use powdered HE detergent when using the DELAY WASH option. Liquid detergent may dispense prior to the start of wash.
Are the additives dispensing too late?
The additives will not dispense until the proper time if the DELAY WASH option is selected.
