Tip the unit back and put your hand under each side in turn underneath, the kickplate is held on via clips near each front foot (the retainer lug is part of the kickplate) this will release it. To reinstall offer the kickplate up under the door panel and give the bottom a push to relocate the clips.
From the way it sounds the back is not supposed to come off. On some of the kenmore dryers there is a kickplate in the front. You can confirm this by looking at the front of the dryer with the door closed. if there is a gap about a quarter of the way up from the bottom completely across, then you'll need to remove that and then you'll have access to the components you are looking for. To ttake the kickplate off there are two clips, one on each side you push it with a flathead screw driver and pull the kickplate forward.
The thermal fuse is bad, the part # is 3392519. This part is located at the back of the machine on the lower left side. You will need to remove the back panel to access this part. Be sure that you unplug the machine before starting. On certain machines, the thermal fuse is located in the front. To access this you must remove the kickplate, which can be done by pushing the clips, one on each side jsut above the top of the kickplate, in between the top and abottom portion. The part numbers are the same for either style dryer.
there should be a disconnect behind the kickplate under the door, also a disconnect for the wire harness too.don't cut anything,i've found people cut the wires and then had to replace the door for this.if for some reason there isn't a disconnect there remove the hose from the water valve but there's a disconnect there.pop off the kickplate and you should see it
Hi, the bottom kickplate is held in place by metal clamps that press into the frig. You have to grab one end and pull toward you then do the other side. Hope this helps.
You need to get the diagnostic info. It should be located just inside the kickplate. Unplug the washer, and then remove the kickplate. Inside will be a packet of info that will help you diagnose your washing machine.
the drain pan is under the fridge behind the kickplate. the kickplate is the vent-line panel located under the door. it's held on by 2 screws. unscrew the screw and remove the kickplate. the drain pan will slide out. careful, as it's probably pretty full.
you will have to start by removing the kickplate. which is the panel under the doors. it's held on by 2 screws. remove the screws and remove the kickplate. you should have no problem pulling out the drain pan then. you can clean it with bleach no problem.
whats the model theres afew different? is it located under the kickplate or is it hanging from ceiling of refrig compartment??
if its behind the kickplate should be a quarter turn counter clockwise and will pull right out, new one goes in same way (clockwise). it might be difficult but it will turn removing the kickplate might make iteasier. if its inside the refrig compartmant push the tab to release the housing and then a quarter turn on that one.
There should be a removable kickplate
found at the bottom of the dryer. Remove this kickplate by removing the
two screws found at the bottom. Let the kickplate drop down just a
little to disengage the two pins found on its top.
If your dryer has an enamelled top, you can raise it by releasing the
two spring catches found under it. Use a putty knife (or some other
thin and flat object) to push in on and disengage each catch.
Remove the two screws (some models will have four) that secure the
bottom of the front panel. As you remove the front panel, disconnect
the door switch and any other wiring, taking careful note of which
wires are to be reconnected where.
If your dryer has a galvanized top, remove the screws from the front
panel, and then remove the front panel itself. As you remove the front
panel, disconnect the door switch and any other wiring, taking careful
note of which wires are to be reconnected where. Thats all you should gain access to the heating coil..
