I am trying to find a manual for an ice maker but the problem is I don't know the brand of it. All the sticker on the back says is Ice Maker, lot 780-1088, Model IBM-18, and serial number 20070600609. I just want to view the manual for this ice maker and put it back to use.

I NEED A NEW LID, CAN I GET IT REPLASTED

I have found that 90% of canister Ice cream makers are modeled the same, I have had a Back to Basics, Rival and West Bend Ice cream makers and the lids are interchangeable.

A lot of companies don't make replacement parts so I usually go with the West Bend lid. The first thing you will want to do if find the brand on your Ice Cream maker (usually found on the motor/top) and see if the manufacture does make replacement parts for your machine. If they do not have parts available I would try the West Bend Ice Cream maker lid U66-2, like i said it is a pretty standard size and will fit most Ice Cream Canisters.

Here is a link to West Bends part page: IC10885 Ice Cream Maker

The lid is very inexpensive so even if it doesn't fit your not throwing away a lot of money.

Ice maker will not quit making ice

Repairing this is pretty easy once you know how ice makers work. Just remember there are thousands of different models of refrigerators and it will always be a good idea to write your model number and brand name somewhere because that will be the first thing the repair parts vendor will ask for. On refrigerators most times will be around the inside door frame of the fresh food compartment. Then you will have the Kenmore Brand model numbers that look like this 790.99012 Most of that information can be found on this page Locating the Number's enough about that part an ice maker unfortunately has about a five year life span and most whirlpool brand have repair parts but by the time you add the parts and time you could have already bought a new ice maker. This of course is not to say your ice maker is at fault here. If you have no ice or shrinking ice in the ice slots of your refrigerator fill with tap water and make sure ice maker is turned on. Once the water in the ice maker (if ice maker is good) freezes it should drop into ice bin. If water does not refill thist points to the dual water control valve located on back and near floor. Below is a video that I find very informing weather you have a Whirlpool or another brand. If video does not appear below then click here=> Broken Ice Make Repairs Most people say if they have water in fountain that they should also have ice but the fact is the dual water control is called that because one side fill the ice maker while the other controls the water dispenser. If to have a multi-meter and would like to test please let me know. With wiring disconnected from the water control valves you have a coil that acts as a magnet to pull a metal plunger open when ice maker calls for water and the coil for the dispenser side both should read from 150 to 250 ohms. at the terminals coming out of them. If not then they should be replace with a complete new water control valve. If you have questions or need more answers please let me know, Thank you Sea Breeze.

I need to down load a manual for ge ice cream maker model 106765

Place the mixer bowl in the freezer. The amount of time required depends on the temperature of your freezer, but you should expect to leave it in the freezer for about one day prior to use. To check if the bowl is frozen, shake it gently. If you don't hear any liquid sloshing around inside, it's ready to use.

  • 2

Place the mixer bowl onto the motor base when you're ready to make ice cream. Insert the mixing paddle into the bowl and place the cover over the bowl.

  • 3

Turn on the ice cream maker and pour the ice cream mixture into the hole at the center of the appliance until it reaches the fill line. Do not exceed the fill line, as the ice cream will increase in volume as it freezes. Use the low setting if you want a firm ice cream and the High setting if you want a softer consistency. Do not add nuts, candy or chocolate chips at this stage as they can become hung up in the mixing paddle and stop the machine.

  • 4

Cover the center hole with the cap and allow the ice cream maker to run for 30 to 45 minutes.

  • 5

Add mix-in ingredients such as nuts and candies two minutes before shutting down the machine.

  • 6

Turn off and unplug the machine prior to removing the ice cream from the bowl. GE recommends using plastic or rubber utensils to avoid scratching the inside of the mixer bowl.

Bosch Evolution B20CS50SNS about two years old. No ice is dispensed. Looked inside and tray is frozen over solid. Also looks like water has overflowed and frozen down in bin. Could not figure out how to...

I've had lots of problems with my Bosch refrigerator ice maker. The ice tray has a tab on the back corner that twists the tray when it cycle to empty the ice. That tab broke off and when I looked into replacing the ice tray the authorized Bosch dealer said the tray is only sold with the complete ice maker unit. Sells for about $160. I have a hard time spending $160 for another complete ice maker when I only need a $10 replacement ice tray. This ice maker is sub-par for an appliance name brand like Bosch.

My maytag refrigerator will not drop ice cubes or crushed ice or water

OK, The most likely reason is the water control valve is defective for the ice maker or the ice maker thermostat is not working and will not tell the control valve to open for water. If ice is just sitting in the ice maker and it will not cycle then I believe the ice maker may be the problem. Now if you could tell me the model number of your Maytag I can send you a manual and tell you the part numbers. Try this, if the ice maker is empty and turned on fill with tap water and allow to freeze. If the water freezes and then dumps I will know that the water valve is not working. If the water just freezes and sits there then again it is the ice maker. Problem is I'm not sure if yours is the mechanical ice maker or has a control board in the front. They just made too may different models. Let me know and I will check back and if you find the model number the service manual I will upload to you.

We have the Kenmore 106.5703.601 side by side with an ice maker. We lost power for a whole day. The power is back, but the ice maker does not dispense ice. Water is dispensed through the door fine, and...

I think if you unplug the ice maker and remove it from the freezer to let the ice melt and dry out the Ice maker may start working again once you put it back in the refrigerator. If not we will need to check the thermostat inside the ice maker. Try that first and let me know the results. We will get it working I just need you to do this step by step until I locate the problem. But until the ice maker is dried out I cannot see if the thermostat will call for water when plugged back in. Let me know, Sea Breeze

    Ice maker not making ice

Chances are it will be best to replace the ice maker but give me your complete model # from the sticker inside the fridge.  Also, make sure the fill tube to the ice maker isn't frozen up.  There should be a 3 digit # in front of the 52554100.
