You may have installed the wrong driver version. Some Thinkpads may have different manufacturers of the same type of devices installed in the laptops, therefore you need to install them one at a time until you find one that works. Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows XP or Vista device drivers for your model computer, Use this link :- http://www.ibm.com/products/finder/us/finders?pg=ddfinder&cm_re=other-_-suprcn-_-download You can download the various drivers and then you click on and run the variour drivers, they will then unzip and expand into a folder on C:\drivers Then install the various drivers from this folder.

My IBM Think Pad 240x hard disk damage; i brought a hard disk, please give me instruction how i install Windows2000 or Win XP, I have a USB CD rom but not supporting.

First I suggest you install Windows XP but you need the Windows installation CD and the product installation code.
Second, the USB ports and therefore the CD ROM drive will not work until Windows XP has been installed, unless the BIOS supports the USB ports and you can make the USB port/CD ROM as the first boot device.
After installing Windows you need to install the ThinkPad's device drivers.
The same model ThinkPadcan have different types of network, video and audio drivers and unless youknow exactly which one is installed in your ThinkPad, you need to download allthe drivers and install each driver until you find the right driver. When you download thedrivers, write down the device driver and it's file name so you have a recordof which driver you are installing and which directory the unzipped files arelocated on your hard drive. Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEBsite - support/download page and download the latest Windows XP or Vista devicedrivers for your model computer, Use this link: - http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/product.do?template=%2Fproductselection%2Flandingpages%2FbrowseByProductLandingPage.vm&sitestyle=lenovo&brandind=10&validate=true You can download thevarious drivers and then you click on and run the various driver files, theywill then unzip and expand into a sub folder on C:\drivers Then install thevarious drivers from this folder (run the set-up file).

You need to access a computer that is connected to the Internet, (try going to a friend or work mate or nternet cafe etc.)

Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows XP audio driver for your model laptop,
www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-39956.html

Copy the downloaded files and install them on your computer.

When you download the Thinkpad device drivers, they need to be the XP or Vista versions that matches the version of Windows that is installed on your Thinkpad.
Download the drivers from the IBM/Lenevo WEB site, make sure you select the correct model laptop and the correct Windows version of the drivers.
When you run the driver programs they will be unzipped/expanded to the hard drive in a folder c:\drivers. Then you need to open the various folders and run the setup programs to install the various drivers.
NOTE - The A22 series laptops come with various different manufacturers devices (eg. there are a few different wireless model LANs) and if one version driver doesn't work you need to install a different one. It is a bit of trial and error to find the right one.

How can i load awindows xp on ibm 600e

I have done this many times.
To install XP on an IBM 600E , you needd to upgrade the RAM at least to 256MB.
Then use a Windows install disk to install XP.
After installing Windows you will have to update drivers from IBM website here: Lenovo Support & downloads - Drivers and software - ThinkPad 600 ...
There is no driver for 600E video adapter on XP, video performances will be limited.
