Could be many things. Old blunt needle, wrong tension, wrong needle and thread for the material. Have you got the same thread in bobbin and needle? Also is needle and bobbin threaded correctly?
best wishes

SOURCE: am trying to sew a thicker material and thread keeps bunching and breaking, any help would be much app.

You may need to go with trial and error but the best I can tell you is to change the setting on your sewing machine. You need to set the machine for a thicker material. This option should be on the unit.

SOURCE: need a manual

you could try a few things to trouble shoot this:

change the needle and go up to a size 100 or even 1100 depending on what the fabric is ie melton wool, heavy coat fabric or curtain with suede backing. If it is denim then change to a denim needle which is blue coated as this helps the needle slide through this very densely woven textile. Always use a new needle for each new project as a needle will go blunt after about 5 hours of sewing or if it strikes anything. If you can hear a squeeking or popping sound, change it.

Could you perhaps give some more details on the thread bunching and where it is breaking? is your top tension too tight perhaps. Also don't use that cheap thread that comes in packs of 4 reels in a plastic bag, stick with quality polyester threads like Molynecke, Guttermann or similar. The cheaper thread is not good for the tension device on your machine and will shed fibres, which can gunk up this device and affect the stitch quality.

Unthread your machine fully and give the bobbin area a good clean out and oil any marked oiling spots with a drop of good quality clear machine oil. Check out my tip on winding a bobbin,
http://www.fixya.com/support/r10598580-winding_bobbin_correctly
it does make a difference in your stitching if the bobbin is wound unevenly or the thread is stretched, then relaxed as it goes onto the bobbin.

If you visit this link http://www.sewusa.com/Threading_Diagrams/Threading_Pages/Euro_Pro_Sewing_Machine_Threading/euro_pro_7500_threading_diagram.htm they have threading up diagrams for several model EuroPro machines; not yours but one of them could be very similar to yours and its free.

Also on Sewusa, check out their "repairs" page and look at vertical hook bobbin tension images, it is important that that bobbin case tension is set correctly so check yours out vs these images; you need to be able to dangle the case by the thread tail and it should hold its own weight if there is enough tension on the spring, but still release thread when pulled gently.

Also look at the top thread tension setting, should be on 4 or so, stitch length on 2.5 or 3 for heavy weight thread and you may need to loosen off the pressure on the presser foot if your model has this adjustment available.

Hope that some of this maybe helps with your stitching problems.

I've tried everything but cotton keeps on looping from under the material

Make sure you are using a brand-new needle and that is installed with the flat side facing the correct direction.

Remove the upper thread from the machine. ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread the upper thread. Verify the thread path is correct. Set the thread tension at the midway point between high & low number.

Lower the presser foot, retest the stitch quality on scrap fabric and adjust the upper thread tension until the upper thread and bobbin thread meet in the middle of the fabric.

Embroidering in blue thread, and the white bobbin thread was coming through on the material. Adjusted the tension to -8, sprayed the bobbin casing and area lightly with WD40, changed the bobbin, changed...

The white bobbin thread was showing on the top of the material correct? Make sure bobbin thread is in the tension correctly, check the top thread spool and make sure thread is not caught around it, if you have a manual top tension make sure that is set correctly. Personally I would never use wd40 in a sewing machine, sewing machine specific oil is always better. You seem to be describing two different problems. The thread bunching is probably from the thread jump out of the take up lever.

Thread bunchingup on bottom of material on singer

Hello,
Here are some solutions to try.

* Re-thread your machine
It may be threaded incorrectly.

* Raise your feed dogs If your machine has this feature.

* When you start to sew a seam, hold the upper and bobbin thread tails back and out of the way as you sew your first couple of stitches. This will keep them from getting caught in your machine.

I hope this helps.

Cotton keeps getting knotted from the bobbin

I think you might be using the wrong size needle, or thread for the material you are sewing... but the site might have a few more options.
Good luck and Happy sewing!

I have a Singer 2950. The thread keeps getting bunched up on the reserve side of the fabric, and does not stitch. It is driving me crazy. I think I have the bobbin threaded correctly, as well as the machine. I have tried everything! Please help!
