I bought mt tv at a pawn shop and want to set it back to factory default. I don't know the pin

there is no way to bypass the pin through settings, the only person that knows the pin is the one who set it. but one way to do it is to pull apart the tv, and find the watch battery or glass fuse that hold the memory for the tvs main board, pull this battery or fuse, and put it back in, and everything should be reset to factory defaults :)

I installed a security pin number on my brand new Garmin Nuvi 295w and it now will not accept it. How can I reset the 285w to factory default settings?

Restoring it to default factory settings will not remove the pin. This is a safety feature to prevent people who steal them being able to use them. You may still be able to get by it though. There's information on how this may be possible at http://www.fixya.com/support/r6240807-remove_forgotten_pin_from_garmin_nuvi
