SOURCE: paper jam

I used the cardboard backing from an 8x11 tablet; I pushed it into the paperholder; it pushed out a small bit of paper which could not be seen; behold, the paper jam was no longer. I paid a computer repairman $15 to do the same thing with a plastic sheet.

My dell 1130 has a steady red light

Maybe there is problem with toner cartridge (maybe it is empty or problem with the chip), paper jam or some mechanical problem. Try to take out the toner cartridge and put it back. If the blinking still exist try to replace the chip (or refill the toner cartridge) or check for paper jam. Maybe there is small part of paper - look carefully.
good luck.

Paper jam for dell 1130 laser printer

Ive got a Dell 1130n that was jamming once it came out towards the top. if you take the top off (2 screws in front and 2 screws in the back) and the rollers right there at the back (once you get the top off) take that long "roller bar" and the springs that push up on that bar just slightly stretch them out and clean the rubber wheels with soap and water (allow to dry) and put everything back together. Also the wheels in the back could be cleaned too. If you open the rear cover there is another "roller bar", there are grey clips on each side that if you pull down the click into place, just unsnap the "roller bar" and clean these wheels as well. It has worked great for me so far.

I have a dell 948 all in one printer, clear paper jam then press check. There is no paper jam. I have follow instruction and site recommendation, ran printer software, problem still exist, please help

This is a known issue with Dell all in ones.

It's a problem with the power supply inside the unit.

If you were in the middle of a print job, though, and it jammed, do recheck as I've been caught out
with a paper jam where a tiny partical of paper was doing the jam. Look carefully before contacting Dell support.

Dell 922 saying there is a paper jam

First try this. Turn off the printer, remove all the cartridges, drum, open all the doors and remove all the trays. Now verify that there's no actual paper jam by exploring through the inside of the printer. You can use a blower to blow any dust or pieces of paper, etc.. from the printer. Now use the manual feed and put in thicker paper several times (push in and pull out). Again reinstall and reconnect every components and boot the printer. If the actual printer's paper sensor isn't broken or stuck or twisted, this will definitely clear the paper jam message on the printer.

If the problem persists, please download this small text file and follow the instructions (click here). Open the link, click "Download Now" button, wait for 20 seconds and again click "Download File Now" link and read the instructions and follow step by step.

Good luck.

Dell 924

**HW support: 877-459-7298 and you must have the Express Service Code of your printer or any Dell product you're calling in so that they can route you to the right department.** Usually, if you're having paper jams, it could be a mechanical problem with the printer. Try these: - turn off the printer. unplug the power adapter for 1-2 minutes - lift the printer upside down and shake it sideways (strange huh?... usually, this helps because it can re-align those things that may not be aligned right inside the printer) - then, adjust the paper guides and use about 10-15 pieces of paper. try using the printer. if it's still the same... it really is the printer. - if it's still under warranty, Dell can replace it. This information is from Dell, try it it can't hurt.
