I have the electrolux guardian-My full bag light indicater is coming on even with a new bag. It gets worst-the machine will cut off when I insert the hose or put my hand over the hole where the hose goes....

Hi,
Check your hose you have something stuck in the hose...stretch it out straight and run something through it to push out whatever is stuck in there...

When you put your hand over suction it shuts off and the bag light goes on it acts like the bag is full but its aq brand new bag

So what's the problem? Stop blocking the suction with your hand! The machine can't tell the difference between a blockage caused by your hand and a blockage caused by a full bag. Just be grateful that you've got a machine with such good protection.

Bag was full, changed it, the unit now turns off

Try dialing the control valve to the mid way position. If the unit still shuts down with the bag full light on you have a damaged control valve under the dial on the top of the vac.
This valve failure is common in this model and can only be repaired by someone with original AERUS Electrolux repair parts, generally at an AERUS repair shop.

Lux 5000 put in new bag but when i turn on the

It sounds like the valve assembly (full bag control) is faulty. Threr are two O rings inside of it and the plactic holding the bottom one has broken. You'll have to take it to the shop.

Stopped working, lights work, shows full light when not full.

Remove the bag and put in a fresh bag. Then rotate the dial on top of the vac to the middle position. When cleaning fine dust the vac will shut off before the bag is full as it is sensing a clogged bag and cannot sense proper air flow through the bag. If this persists the sensor under teh top dial may be damaged and need to be replaced

Electrolux upright bag light stays on even when bag is not full

Once you change the bag, be sure to turn the machine off and back on to clear the fault. If it is the full bag light that is on, and not the "?" light, and you have a new bag in place, then you probably have a bad control valve. I would suggest finding the closest Aerus (formerly Electrolux) dealer and having them change it. It shouldn't be too expensive. If you have the "?" light illuminated, the bag probably isn't pressing the actuator like it should. When placing the new bag into the machine, be sure the bag top presses the small button in the lower right hand corner. Good Luck!

Electrolux Epic 6500SR Full Bag sensor working, Does not Reset properly

The problem was a sticking switch that was not being reset. The vacuum on/off switch mechanism is comprised of two switches. One is the main switch that turns the vacuum on and off. The second is a shut off switch that gets tripped when the full bag sensor is engaged. This second switch is supposed to get reset when you push the on/off switch on the outside of the machine. The full bag shutoff switch was stiff and it, therefore, was taking a couple of presses of the on/off switch to move the shutoff switch back into the running position.

Full bag system works properly, but doesn't reset easily

Either there is something wrong with your switch. Which it doesnt sound like it. Take it to your dealer or call another one it sounds like the control valve needs to be replaced. I am a dealer 1-866-966-9350.
