Hi Breda, Step to recover your password is as follows.
visit http://mail.yahoo.com. click on I can't access my account.
on next page select i have problem with my password and hit NEXT. type your yahoo id that [email protected] and click NEXT. it will ask you to send a text msg on your mobile number which is registered with your yahoo account. click NEXT. now on next page you'll see text box below "The code sent to my mobile phone is" ... now wait and you'll rcv 5 or 6 digit code on your mobile. once you rcv that code enter in text box and hit next. thats all you can set your new password on next screen. hope it helps u. :)

Yahoo is recently having this issue and I'm sure they are on their way to solve it.
For now use a six digit password with six or eight digits and use only numbers and alphabets; don't use special characters like . /%& etc.
