Cannot hear anything on the receiver, nor can anyone hear us

And....if you find that surround is still enabled, and you've ruled out that the sound setting you are using does utilize the rear speakers...try running a sound test. If you hear nothing in those rear speaker during the test, take one of your working speakers and connect it to the rear speaker wire and see if you hear anything in that one. That will at least rule out that it's a connection issue or confirm its a speaker issue.

check speaker button on front of unit. May be switched to off..

It could be a relay that burnt out, they usually dont show any signs of damage, or the motherboard could be fried too with no signs of damage eather! Hope this helps!

Go though your menu on the reciever, Look for the speaker functions for your front end rear speakers ,It was probably turned off. Was it working before you got it from your friend,

try the mute button or combination between A and B speaker selection ,check out your amplifier moduls as they mate be the problem

There is a speaker test you can do. Press the feature button then on the dial pad press 805 followed by the # key or the next key until you see speaker test in the display. Press the test key or the hold button to start the test. You should hear a page tone at maximum volume. Press any button to end the test, the volume will return to its previous level.

The phone is mute by pressing the handsfree/mute button(bottom left button). sometimes the button labels do not match the feature that is programmed for the button. Press feature * 0 and any button to see what feature is programmed on the button.

Go and contact to your nearest samsung dealer and get the phone repaired. The problem may be with the connections to the speaker from the microphone.

dear replace the speaker of ur phone in k300 the speaker and ringer are the same if u not have new speaker then short both point of the speaker to gather will be ok.
