I think the dishwasher gets stuck at the point where it is supposed to heat the water. If it can't heat the water (because the heating element isn't working, or because the heater relay inside the controller is bad), then it may stay there indefinately. In other dishwashers, the timer/controller will give up after 3 or 4 hours and finish the cycle. In others, the dishwasher will shut down and indicate an error condition.

My washing machine washed a load on the medium cycle but when it is time for it to drain the water it just stop the only thing it is doing is fulling back up with water and not doing anything else on

Not sure what you are saying, I assume the water is not pumping out at the end of the wash cycle. Is the water draining out at the end of each cycle? Is it spinning at all? Is the exhaust tubing clogged? Is the pump burned out or are you trying to pump it uphill too much. If it's stopping mid wash, try advancing it manually past where it's stuck and see if it continues. I have that problem, the tank fills with water and it gets stuck at the 6 minute changeover. It will run stuck at this point indefinitely if I let it. We just set a timer for the fill time, then manually advance it past this stopping point.

Dishwasher was fine till i put it on a full cycle then it went bang twice ..what as gone ?

If your Dishwasher is stuck in a cycle check the following

Float Switch

The float switch may be hung up and this can cause the dishwasher to be stuck in a cycle.

Timer / Control

If your dishwasher gets stuck in a cycle first try shutting off the breaker for at least 5 minutes if this does not correct the problem you will need to replace the timer/control electronic. Use the VOM

Dishwasher will not run through its cycle

Hi

If the cycle doesn't complete, check these:

Water-heating cycle Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next, depends, as follows:

  • On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time.

  • On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too.

Timer Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it.

Please revert for further assistance and Do rate the solution as "FixYa" if found useful.

Thanks

Error code 2H

The control panel needs to be replaced (indicated by the "2H" error code displayed at the start of the cycle).
BTW - The number 1 displayed at the end of the cycle indicates the cycle has timed out (i.e., it doesn't mean 1 minute remaining). Hence the continued running of the unit. Until you replace the control panel, you'll have to manually cancel the cycle at this point.

LG Front Load Washer

This model automatically detects the load size and optimizes the washing time however I do not believe the it should get stuck as you say... try this.. load the washer and then using the control knob.. select Normal.. then push the Quick cycle button on the right.. select the soil level button until it displays 31 minutes.. and run that.. if after you run a wash load it continues to display or get hung up on a specific number such as 7.. your control board may be defective.. If its warranteed.insist they replace it.. Hope that helps...
