No forward/reverse on Shoprider mobility scooter

My Dad has a Shoprider mobility scooter, which worked fine yesterday, today it does not go forward or backwards, it makes a continuous beeping sound when the ignition is switched on. The battery is charged, the lever is in the drive position. In freewheel there is no problem at all. Any ideas please?

SOURCE: Forward/Reverse switch not working Revo Pride

Could it be in free-wheel mode. Most Prides have a pull up knob at the rear of the scooter.

SOURCE: The scooter rar wheels locked up nothing moves

hi, if the freewheel lever is jammed which is located on the drive motor, take the rear cover off and make sure the lever is not bent,

you will see how the freewheel lever is mounted under normally a rubber cover on the side of the electric motor ,

My scooter will not work when you select reverse , i need to go forward and immediatly go into reverse to make it work ,,why ?

it sounds like the speed pot is faulty, or otherwise known as a wig wam,

it sounds like its worn or simply come loose, there should be a allen screw in the side of the throttle lever, when in central position , tighting up the allen screw .

Also check the connection between the pot and main board it plugs into.
