Still have dish service? their box? Go to box's menu "setup" option, choose "remote control". "On screen" logos will guide you through the procedure.
No box, no service? Knock on your neighbor's door and ask him to look at "menu". find your brand, write down code(s)! Last resort: call dish customer service and ask them to program your "clicker" they are all 'learning" and will be programed via "box'. Be creative! Or, worst case: get universal remote and set it up for both: dish and TV!

You'll need to either call them and have them walk through programming the remote to the TV or visit their website for the information. Here at DISH Network, we have instructions on our website with instructions on how to program our remotes to TVs. I hope this helps.

To program your remote to your Vizio T.V you can try using some of the codes we have available that help the remote control functions of your T.V itself. For the Vizio brand one of the codes is 505. what you will need to do is press and hold the clear T.V button located on the upper left hand corner of your remote until all the other top buttons begin to light up, once they light up you let go of clear T.V button and enter the number 505 followed by the pound key (#) as soon as you press pound you will see the clear T.V button flash 3 times. You can can your volume or turning off and on the T.V it should work. To program this hold the clear tv button down for about 4 seconds the other mode buttons will light up. Once they are all lit hit 505 and pound. Hi there! This is Kimberly Escobar with Dish Network. Just ran across your post and wanted to help. In order to get the remote to possibly work the Inputs on your T.V the remote needs to be programmed to your Vizio T.V. In order to do this we have certain codes that can be integrated into the remote. Some of the codes for a Vizio T.V are 505, 671, and 627. The procedure is press and hold the clear T.V buttton located at the top of your remote until you see all the other buttons light up in red, once they are lid up enter one of your codes followed by the pound key for example: 505#. The T.V button should light up 3 times you can then try the remote to see if it works your T.V
