Use white vinegar only. Do NOT use wine vinegar, flavored vinegar, balsamic vinegar, etc. Buy the cheapest one that you find in a supermarket. Fill the reservoir up halfway and run it through until empty. Then flush with plain water with TWO (2) full reservoirs of plain tap water.

SOURCE: funny tasting coffee

Vinegar/water cleaning is a good idea, but it won't necessarilly solve funny-tasting coffee. First, replace your charcoal water filter - you can get the Cuisinart brand-name replacements at Lowe's, Bed/Bath/Beyond, or Williams-Sonoma in most areas.

To do the vinegar/water cleaning, just pour 1/3 caraffe distilled white vinegar and 2/3 caraffe water into the water reservoir and brew it like it was regular coffee - I would simply bypass the self-clean function if your Cuisinart has one. Repeat up to 3 times, using a fresh batch of vinegar each time.
(if you have the caraffe-less DCC-2000, then just pour in 4 cups vinegar and 6 cups water).

Then run a full cycle of water. Then run a combo of 12 tsp lemon juice and 12 cups water (or 10 tsp and 10 cups water) to improve the taste.

On your next batch of coffee, use bottled water just to rule out any possibility that your local water supply may be contributing to funny-tasting coffee.

Now your coffee should be tasting fine again.

SOURCE: Keurig B50

I have the same problem, but overcame it with a reusable K-cup. They are available online and at some national chain stores for about $15.00. It's a not as convenient as K-cups, but better than throwing out a $150 coffee maker.

I cleaned my keurig and now it doesn't work?

How did you clean your keurig? The way that I do it is fill the tank up with vinegar and run it through. The way that you might have washed it may have clogged it up. Using the vinegar will clean and unclog the machine.

Can i use nuvera coffee cleaner keurig coffee maker

We use a 75% vinegar and 25 % water. Then we rinse it twice with plain water. Also remove the little K/cup holder and clean it good and then replace in the machine. Works for us!

Unfortunately you will need to use vinegar. The acetic acid in vinegar is strong enough to clean most brewing machines.

Use distilled white vinegar.

How do I clean my B60 Keurig of scale

Empty the water...
start with half distilled water... half white vinegar...
just run it all day... take a break and let the vinegar work... it will be heated up in the main tank... then pushed out to all hoses and sensors etc.etc...

enpty the container... wash it out... fill it with filtered or distilled water and run that until you no longer taste/smell the vinegar...
consider buying a brita pitcher and use that water for your Keurig... I do... and my unit goes for a long long time before it needs a vinegar washing...

P.S. dont use C.L.R. :(
It tastes bad.

B60.Coffee maker was working fine untill yesterday, now brews 1 cup and pump starts but does not pump and machine shuts off. Help me. Bill Cobb

Hi Bill, sounds like similar a problem I had with my Keurig Coffee maker. Your pump may be plugged with mineral deposit build-up from your water. Do you use regular tap water or filter it in any manner?
Have you ever cleaned the insides with vinegar? Empty your reservoir of water, and pour a bottle of white vinegar into the reservoir. Run the maker through several cycles to ensure the vinegar has worked its way throughout the ‘guts’ of your maker, and then let it sit for 2-4 hours.
Empty any remaining vinegar from the reservoir and then cycle at least two full reservoirs of water through to flush the vinegar out. When you stop smelling vinegar in your coffee cup, you’ll know when there’s no vinegar left inside.
You should probably clean you Keurig once a year, or more depending on how heavily you use it.
SWMBO tells me you’ll find similar instructions above in the Owners Manual or you can check out this link: http://www.ehow.com/how_4927372_clean-keurig-coffee-machine.html
