I have just refurbished a old water skeeter pontoon padle|peddle boat. looking to put it on the lake this 4th. of july. do i need to register it or is it considered exempt from regisistery cause its person powered craft. is it concidered a pwc or a boat. and if I install bow and stern lights can i be on lake after sunset or before sun rise?

was the engine properly winterized when it was stored? id check the lower unit oil to make sure its not milky with water. id make sure engine cranks over and is not siezed. no use in two years i bet carburetor is gummed up if it wasnt run out of gas while being winterized. yeah its a gamble if it wasnt properly packed away
When my depth finder acted like this I found out it was the sender that had not done well over the winter and was giving me false readings especially when the boat was at speed. The sender and cable only cost around 30 or $40. The hard part was since I have a pontoon boat getting under the Pontoon and replacing the wire in the spring when the water was cold.
