How do I follow up with a KUL 30 pint dehumidifier that is about 1 year old, displays the "EC" code, and won't operate. This unit only has about 6 months run time on it.
If unit is turned off, unplugged, then plugged back in and restarted it will start running and fault out within 10 minutes.

Turn the knob to a lower setting so that the unit cycles on & off. This will give it time to warm back up and melt the ice in between dehumidifying runs.
Unit malfunction. Dehumidifiers are designed to function within specific temperate ranges, usually between 50 and 80 degrees. Make sure that the ambient temperature of the room is within the range of your dehumidifier. Try not to run it continuously.
I contacted CE North America customer service regarding this issue for same unit. They suggested disconnecting for 10 minutes, then reconnecting, turning unit on, and changing settings and run fan on HIGH or TURBO until the EC code goes away. This didn't help with my unit. If this doesn't work, there is no repair provided. Customer Service recommended returning unit to purchase location if under warranty (1 year), however a copy of the original purchase receipt is required. Suggest a call to Customer Service Center at 866-915-1212.
"For the above error codes, Power the unit off, and then unplug the unit for 15 minutes. Plug in and power on. If the issue persists, please contact customer service."

A/C removes the heat found in the air and so gives out slightly warf flows but normally this is cooled of by water but that is why air con home units are vented to the outside atmos
On models a lttle later than yours E1, indicates that the air intake filter needs to be removed and cleaned. Probably, the same thing as yours. Before doing so, turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit. If you wash the filter use warm water and dish washing liquid, Rinse thoroughly and allow to completely before reinstalling. DO NOT operate the unit without the air filter in place.
Hope this helps you to troubleshoot and solve the problem.
