Hi
If the person you are calling has an ansaphone or voicemail set up, then if they cannot take the call you will automatically be put through to their system and a message will tell you when to start leaving your voicemail.
Regarding your own phone, you don't specifically say so but it is in the Cell Phone category, so for a cell voicemail is usually a function of your Service Provider. Nearly all of them provide voice mail but if you don't want it you need to get in touch wth them and tell them to turn it off.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers
Yes, the was bothering me for some time. I think the indicator is a little green light that blinks in the extreme upper left hand portion of the phone...not on screen, above it....but the blinking light may indicate a missed call or a voice mail is present.
Try this. Go into your phone icon, press and hold '1' and listen to any open messages. Delete each. Next go into your Call Log and delete all call history. Now exit. There should be no green light flashing in the upper left hand corner of phone. You have just cleared everything.
Next call your phone but hang up before leaving a message. Note the blinking green light in the upper left hand corner apparently indicating you missed a call. Go into your Call Log. It will say one missed call. Exit the call log and note that the blinking light is now off. You have acknowleged the call in the call log so the light goes off when you exit.
Call the phone again. This time leave a message. Note the blinking light again. Go into your call log again. Note the missed call. It would be nice if there was an icon or something HERE that indicates if this call left a voice message....but there does not appear to be. Exit again. This time note that the light continues to blink even though you entered the call log and acknowleged the call. I believe it continues to blink because you have a voice message. Exit.
Go into the call log again. Delete the missed call from the call hsitory. Exit. The light still blinks, I believe still indicating a voice message.
Go to your phone icone. Press '1' to check messages, delete the message and exit. The blinking is now gone.
So it appears a blinking green light indicates a missed call. If it still blinks after exiting the call log, you have a voice message.
If someone figures something else out let me know because this stinks!
There are three elements to voice mail; having a Panasonic brand voice mail system, recording the greetings, and setting call forward conditions. Which ones have you done?
The default access to voice mail is extension 500 on the intercom, but we used to use 165. When you dial it, the lady says "welcome to the Panasonic voice processing system". If she doesn't or you're asked for a password, or you have not done the tutorial, then you need to do that and it guides you to the setup of the greetings, name, and password change. After that, you dial *710x 500 (or your VM access) # on the inercom to set call forward to voice mail, with 4 being no answer (my preference since it gives me the option of answering the 2nd call or letting it fall to voice mail), or 5 for Busy/No Answer.
The message manager (mailbox 998) and the system owner (mailbox 999) has the ability to access and change how the voice mail system performs. The owner can change your name for the directory or reset your password and/or setup or delete your mailbox.
Hi,If your account is enabled for voice mail, you can receive voice messages in your Inbox and also in a text message on your mobile phone. Both the message in your Inbox and the text message will include a preview of the voice message in text. How do I set up voice mail?
1. Go to https://outlook.com to sign in to your mailbox, go to Options > Voice Mail tab, and then click Set Up Now. 2. When you set up your voice mail: * You'll register your mobile phone number. * Text messaging is set up. You can choose to be notified in a text message that you have voice mail or have missed a call. * Call forwarding is set up so that your mobile provider forwards calls you receive to your voice mail. So if you don't answer your phone, your phone is busy, or you're unreachable or unavailable, the caller will be sent to your voice mail. After your personal greeting is played, the caller can leave a voice message for you. * You can test whether your voice mail has been set up correctly by dialing your mobile phone number from your mobile phone. This verifies that call forwarding is correctly set up with your mobile provider.
How do I change my voice mail after I've set it up?
After you've finished setting up voice mail, you may want to:
* Change the mobile provider's voice mail number so you can use the key your provider has reserved for accessing voice mail to access your voice mail. For details about how to do this, see Changing the Number You Call to Access Your Voice Mail. * Create a contact on your mobile phone. For details about how to do this, see Create a Contact for Voice Mail. * Assign a speed dial key to the contact you create for Outlook Web App voice mail. For details about how to do this, see Set Up Speed Dialing for Voice Mail.
What else do I need to know?
* The voice mail service is available only to certain customers in certain regions. If you can use voice mail, you'll see a welcome message in your Inbox telling you how to set up voice mail for your account.
Press the MESSAGE button. It will light the lamp on the receiving station and when they press MESSAGE it will show that you called.
If you're trying to program "voice mail", then there are specific instructions to setting Call Forward No Answer or just dialing into the VM sytsem and dialing #6 and their extension to leave a direct message.
On the phone not ringing, just push the volume up button while the phone is not in use, that should adjust the ringer volume. As for the message saying that calls are being routed to an automatic message sertvice, that sounds like a voice mail offering from your service provider, not the phone. Uniden phones have a default greeting that says "Hello, no one is availible to take your call, please leave a message after the tone" Contact your service provider and find out if you have voice mail service on your line. If you do and want to use the answering machine on your phone, you will need the service provider to allow for more rings before the voice mail service takes the call.
Have someone call you and leave you a message. then listen to the message and that might reset it.If that dont work call the manufacturer and they will walk you through it and should not charge you for it.
highlight the message in your inbox and press menu. You should have the option to unlock. Select that. tHen you should be able to delete them.
As far as your voicemail...
Call and leave yourself a message and then delete it. This will cause the voicemail system to send a message to your phone to remove the icon.
