My oven beeps and an error code F5E1 shows in the screen and the door is automatically locked?
Hello friend, thank you for your inquiry!
I understand that your door is locked and you have error "F5E1" showing on your range. I would perform a reset on your appliance which can be done by flipping the household circuit breaker off for roughly ten minutes. If that does not correct the issue and you continue to receive the error "F5E1" I would contact a professional to come out and repair your appliance because it could be an issue within your UIB (user interface board) or main control panel. Hopefully this helps. -Matt
Thank you for your inquiry, Lucie!
From what you have described your Frigidaire oven lock is stuck open and you are receiving error codes "F9" and "DR". The "F9" error code stands for runaway temperature (overheating). This could be an issue with your RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) or the EOC (Electronic Oven Control). I would recommend performing a reset on your oven and you can do that by disconnecting from your oven for ten minutes. The "DR" code means that the door is not closed or the door latch is not recognizing the door is closed. This could be an issue with your door latch or control panel. If the reset does not help correct your issues I would recommend having a professional technician out to perform a proper diagnosis and repair. Best of luck! -Matt
Hello Larry D Harris - Does any part of the range work? I would recommend verifying that a fuse is not blown or a circuit breaker tripped. Test the power outlet with a lamp, hair dryer, etc. Another questions, does "Loc" appear in the display if any button is pushed? The Oven Lockout feature automatically locks the oven door, prevents the warmer drawer and most oven controls from being turned ON. If so, press and hold CLEAR/OFF for 3 seconds. A beep will sound. LOC will clear. The "DOOR LOCKED" will continue to flash until the oven door has completely unlocked. Do the maintop burners work? Granting that it does, you can try confirming that the shut-off valve on the gas pressure regulator is in the "ON" position (usually located on the back left-hand side of the range). This valve shuts off gas to the oven. If after the basic troubleshooting, you continue to experience the issue I would suggest contacting a certified technician to assist in the full diagnosis and repair of your range.
