If your oven says "off" it means that your oven has the control lock on. You should just need to press and hold the 2 outside buttons under the display for 10 seconds and the control lock should be removed

I honestly believe you are right. you should be able to wiggle it back and forth and pull it out.

SOURCE: 2 year old elect range/oven by wirlpool will not

check your input voltage your probably losing a leg and only have 120volts instead of 240 volts that would cause a reduced heat symptom

SOURCE: GE Profile Stove baking option not working

Possibly the bake igniter, the temperature sensor or the electronic oven clock/control. Does broil mode heat properly or does it run cool also? If broil heats to the proper temperature then the temperature sensor is probably ok. That leaves the ignitor or the controller which takes some more troubleshooting. If it is the controller, we repair them at www.fixyourboard.com.

SOURCE: When I have both ovens operating, the top on broil

Hi,
What is your exact model #? This sounds like it could be other things besides the control panel or it could be the control panel... It could be as simple as a loose wire somewhere. If your model is RBD305PD?? control panels are available however parts alone could be in excess of $200-300. I may or may not be worth replacing at that price... I would guess most techs would charge $300-600 or more in some places... depending on the exact model and how difficult it is to access.

I self-cleaned the convection oven on my sc302tw, and now it does not heat on any settings, convection, bake or broil. It is 14 years old.

Looks like the sensor has tripped... on my Bosch oven, I opened the back. Connected to the thermostat is a switch with a little button which pops out to prevent the oven from overheating... push in the button to reset it and it should work

Dacro Wall oven (electric) does not heat past 345 degrees on bake or convection bake but broiler works and bottom oven works fine (for bake, convection bake and broil).

it could be the oven temp sensor rod located near the top of the inside of the oven,or possibly the bake element has a hot spot on the element and can no longer pass enough current thru this spot to correctly heat to your settings a hot spot on the element will look discolored in this area

I have a ge profile that is 13 years old. the burners work but the oven will not heat, I checked the breaker and turned it off and back on to reset oven but it still does nothing. any thing i might try,...

Greetings,

If you look carefully at the bake element..There may be a burnt spot or not smooth to the touch..If it has any bumps or blemishes...Its bad. If you have an ohm meter you can check the bake element for continuity...if none, its defective......in most cases its the element that goes bad...

If you do have a volt/ohm meter you can check for voltage and I've even seen the wire burn off where it connects to the burner itself...The thing to really be sure of is power going to bake..if not power, its either the board relay keeping it off or a wiring problem...ie burnt wires

Oven enamel chipping

The only solution I know of for the enamel coming off on these units is replacement of the unit, and since it is 4 years old you are going to have a tough time getting dacor to replace it or even give you a credit towards a new one. I have never actually seen the problem on a Dacor. Does the unit have a hidden lower bake element? If you cannot seee the elemnt its hidden, and you cannot put tin foil on the floor of any unit wiht a hidden bake element, as it will damage the finish. I know this isnt much help, but I work on Dacor products regularly as we are an authorized servicer, and I can't say I've ever seen a finish problem on one. Best bet at this point is to call Dacor and see if they will do anything about it. Good Luck!
