This is a 14 year old oven, but we've never seen this problem before. It says off when we push bake
If your oven says "off" it means that your oven has the control lock on. You should just need to press and hold the 2 outside buttons under the display for 10 seconds and the control lock should be removed

I honestly believe you are right. you should be able to wiggle it back and forth and pull it out.

we had a repairman come and he opened the electronic control panel and hit the "reset" on it and it worked after that. hope this helps. these ovens stink.

Possibly the bake igniter, the temperature sensor or the electronic oven clock/control. Does broil mode heat properly or does it run cool also? If broil heats to the proper temperature then the temperature sensor is probably ok. That leaves the ignitor or the controller which takes some more troubleshooting. What is your exact model #? This sounds like it could be other things besides
the control panel or it could be the control panel... It could be as
simple as a loose wire somewhere. If your model is RBD305PD?? control
panels are available however parts alone could be in excess of $200-300.
I may or may not be worth replacing at that price... I would guess most
techs would charge $300-600 or more in some places... depending on the
exact model and how difficult it is to access.
