Go into your menu screen. Scroll down until you see a black block with a C in it.That is the "Reset All" selection. That resets the camera to factory defaults and the default language is English.

How do i change my nikon coolpix s3100 from spanish to english ?

Press the Menu button. Select Setup (the wrench icon, or else the last item). Select Language (either the waving flag icon, or else "***/Language" where *** is Language in whatever language is currently selected. No matter the language, it should still say "Language" in English after the slash. In that menu, each language is labeled in that language, so you should see "English" as one of the options. Select that, and everything should be back in English.

Go to settings (the eq symbol)
scroll to system settings
scroll to lanquage

If you are unable to decipher the current foreign lanquage enough to find these menu options

Update the firmware again and you will be presented with the choice during the update process

Good luck!

Hi there, sorry it took so long for someone to get back to you. Try this to change the language.

Go into the setup menu. (the symbol with the wrench #2)
Scroll down to language.
From there, just follow the prompt.
