Memory cards need to be formatted before use. Please refer to your camera manual for instructions.

Your camera may not work with 8GB SDHC cards, only with SD cards 2GB or smaller. Such cameras will report a card error and/or request formatting if you try to use an SDHC card.

If you require further assistance, please add a comment to this question and specify the model of your Kodak EasyShare camera.

1. If you go in the setup menu.
2. Push the right button once and scroll down to the menu that says format.
3. It will ask you if you want to erase all data.
4. Select No and everything should be fine.

How can i download using my blue dash it say memory full everytime i try...and it have a memory card which is empty and is set to download on sd card

A few things come into my mind. Are you using a card you did use before? If so, your card can't be blamed. If not, make sure you are using the right SD cards. Only a few years ago we only had MMC and SD, but with the growing capacity, there came new SD cards. These cards can't be used in older equipment. So the new cards like SDHC and SDXC need newer devices (cameras) to be able to work. They used to sell SD cards up to 4Gbyte, but now you only see 1 GByte SDHC cards. And your camera has to be compatible. I a could not check your camera, because I don't know brand nor model. Then be aware you should not format the card in any other camera or device, not even the same camera from your friend. Please try to format the card, when it is compatible with your camera. Newer cameras, made for the SDXC cards can use all SD cards.

My panasonic lumix dmc-ls75 say my pictures will go into built in memory. Is there a way to turn that off? I have an sd card in but i dont think it is picking it up. It works fine in my computer...

Go into the camera's menu and find "format"....follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Your card should work properly after that. If not, your card may be corrupted. If so, download the pics from it to your computer and then, format the card in the camera to get it to work again.

SD card can't be read "Card Locked" is all that

There are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". Some include trying to use a 4GB SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Others include problems with the tiny slide switch on the side of the card, or the electrical contact switch internal to the camera. The problem may also arise from simple formatting problems if the card has never been formatted in the camera (note that this will also erase the card). Troubleshooting tips for this problem may be found at this link.

When I turn on my Jazz DV 152/ T20 it displays "Read card..." and then nothing happens...I have a 4GB SDHC card by SanDisk...both camera and card are new....is this a faulty camera or am I doing something...

Usually the first thing you need to do with any SD card and Camera is to go into the settings of the your camera and Format the SD card. This has to be done for each memory card you use with that camera. i.e. a SD card formatted on a Panasonic HD camcorder won't work in your Jazz Camcorder. The formatting is different between the two camcorders. New SD cards don't come formatted.
SO try inserting the SD card into your Jazz Cam and rummage through the setting until you find your memory settings. From there find the Format Memory Card function, format the SD Card and you should be good to go.

Loaded new memory card, and screen reads memory card error-memory card locked. Removed new card from camera, nnlocked card, inserted card again, but received same message. Please advise.

I'm guessing you bought a new 4GB SDHC card. Although it looks exactly the same as a standard SD card, the format the card uses is very different. If your camera is more than a few couple years old, it's likely it was designed before the SDHC format came out. Sorry, but a SDHC card will not work with older cameras.
For older cameras, you'll need to use standard SD cards (usually those 2GB or less). But if you really want to use a 4GB card, do a Google search for 4GB SD "non HC", with the non HC in quotes. Believe Transcend makes one.

Hi: I have a lumix/Panasonic DMC-FS3. I keep getting a message "Memory Card Error. Please check the card." Nothing has happened to the card. What could cause that?

Has the memory card ever worked in this camera? If yes, try downloading all the pictures to your computer then format the memory card using the camera setip menu. If this is a new camera, Make sure the camera can use the SD HC type memory cards. Some older cameras cannot read the SDHC but are fine with the SD cards.
