Alternator isn't charging and I think its a faulty wire.
Kubota didn't make a 2 cylinder that I am aware of... Usually they used Kawasaki engines... But if you have two wires coming fron underneath the flywheel (both white) those are A.C. current... Should be from 5volts to 30ish volts depending on engine speed. these go to a voltage regulator mounted to the side of the engine. additionally there will be a red wire... it is 12 volts D.C.... it needs to be battery voltage. if no voltage here, suspect a blown fuse, loss of voltage somewhere. if no A.C. current on the other two wires suspect a bad stator and/or flywheel. If none of this applies just respond here and I'll get back with you but make sure you find and include engine numbers

the charging system runsfrom a stator which is underneath the flywheel and runs to a rectifier/regulator module and to the battery. it will power the blades if it is an electric clutch system and also the fuel plunger system on the carbuerator

None of the numbers you supplied match any info on the toro.com web site. Check the numbers and then see if toro has any info for you.
That said, it sounds like you connected to the wrong relay terminal. Here is how you want it connected:
The battery (and alternator) connect to one of the large terminals on the relay. The starter connects to the other large terminal. The start switch connects to the small terminal on the relay. The idea being that the small current connected to the small terminal turns on the relay which connects the large battery current to the starter.
Obviously there is more to the wiring than just that, but you didn't ask about the rest...

Can't get you a diagram but i can tell you most electical problems on these tractors can be solved by replaceing the key switch/modual or cleaning corrosion from fuse holders.

A FREE download of the entire Kohler Service Manual for your engine is available as of 1-29-2010 on the net in the form of a pdf. I don't know how long it will remain available but as of today you can still download it allowing you to reference the area of your concern using the address; www.asberry.net/files/TP-2339-D.pdf. This pdf contains the entire Service manual for your engine. However, it is 147 pages long and if you don’t start with at least a half full cartridge it may drain your black ink cartridge. I downloaded this Service Manual for my Kohler 12.5 engine to help me fix a charging problem and it was a bargain because the download was FREE except for the ink and 147 pages of paper.
