I am able to download both from my computer and Audible library to Player. When trying to play book, get message: Please activate your device to play this Title. Nothing seems to work.

The link to the operating manual (which includes the Audiobook instructions) is here:

What I would do is drag and drop the Audible files from the folder that Audible creates to store your audiobooks to the Audible folder of the Sansa Clip, instead of using the Audible Manager.

Make sure the usb mode is msc Open my computer click sansa open sub folders delete from here or right click on Sansa select format this will delete all....Try and drag and drop the audio book into the folder assigned Here is the link for the manual and update firmware plus the media converter (http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/Installer/1082/SansaUpdaterInstall.exe)
Once you have the audio loaded and it works sync and try with your WMP......Hope this works

You need to tag the .mp3 so it has a genre of "Audiobook". Google "mp3 tagger" and you'll find utils to do this for you.
SOURCE: I received the following message
Hi.
I report a solution from Portable player FAQ, let me know if it works:
1. Delete the title in the Overdrive Media Console program.
2. Then log into the Audiobook site at http://e.hbpl.org and click on My Account, My eItems Checked Out, and click the Download button the website to re-download the book.
3. Transfer the newly downloaded parts to your player.

Audio books should be listed within the Music folder on your clip.. just scroll until you see it.
You may have to manually put the audio book into that folder via My computer beforehand.
WIndows media player does not recognize the audio book subfolder and will mix your audio books into the album mix.. but just ignore this
