Error message when trying to install new sd card

Some cameras cannot take certain types of SD cards. They could be too new for the camera or have a higher storage capacity than the camera can recognize. Sometimes you can update camera firmware to accept these cards, but often you are limited to what the camera can accept.

When trying to take a picture or record a movie, the screen is a solid light pink.

try an sd card from another source. the format function of the camera should be used to prepare the sd card for the camera before you take pics with it. this may be a format issue with nintendo. format will erase all images on card, so save them first somewhere else.

Do you check your SD card? It is work ?
My solution:
1. Off Lumix camera.Until LCD was off. Press center of card to remove it.
2. Use card reader to connect your SD card to pc/netbook/laptop..
3. Check full capacity for SD card, it is empty(zero) or have it their mount.
4. If empty (full, used, free is zero) ,try reinsert card again and don' t touch the terminal.
5. If still empty, that mean, your SD card was corrupted.
6. If not empty, backup all data in SD card.

From page 63 in the manual.

Format

6. Press the SET( ) button and the sub menu will display.

7. Select [FORMAT] by pressing the UP( )/DOWN( ) button

and press the SET( ) button

8. Select [NO] or [YES] and press the SET( ) button.

[Selecting NO] : The image will be displayed on the

I have a Kodak C330. I have a 1gb SD memory card installed. How do I access card memory? Camera says internal memory filled. Thanks

With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, your card should work properly.

The screen say's memory card error, card locked, but it is a brand new card. I unlocked it and it still says error

I think you have a HC card, Any SD memory card about 2GB runs at a different compression rate to the 'normal' SD cards. ie High Compression. If you do have a larger card in an older camera it will not read, The camera cannot access the information, and it will not work. If it's a 2GB or smaller, try formatting the card - Go to your review menu, press setup and chose format from the list. This should sort it out.

Media card

Hi,

If you inserted your sd card corectly, you should be able to save items to it as long as it is not a defective unit. Do the following:

1) From the Home Screen Menu, go to Settings, then Options, and scroll down to Media Card and choose it with the trackball.

2) From there you will see the Media Card configuration options which allow you to set the Media Card Support, as well as the Mass Storage Support option. Also, you will be able to confirm from this screen if the phone is recognizing the presence of your sd card. Hope this helps.

When i put my r4 into my ds its just says cant find menu?

hi it sounds like a software problem. follow the following instructions. Please can you try and reformat the 2gb micro sd card in your pc and copy firmware from the CD back onto the 2gb micro sd card following the instructions below. be warned that formating will remove even the games from the card so make sure you have a backup of the games saved to your computer. any saved games will also be erased.

To format the 2gb micro sd card
1. Insert sd card into usb stick and into usb port.
2. Close autoplay screen if it appears.
3. Right click on removeable drive. (Eg D, E, F or J etc) that appeared on screen in computer window.
4. Left click on format in menu and when format window appears, tick quick format box and select ok. This will erase all content on the sd card and remove any corrupt firmware.

To reload firmware
1. Insert cd into pc cd/dvd drive.
2. Open cd drive on screen and copy and paste the files and folders from the system/english 1.18 folder on the cd to the removeable drive that the usb and micro sd card are in. The folders that you will copy are "_system_" and "moonshl" and the files will be "menu.dat" and "mshl.nds".
3. Once copied, check removeable drive to ensure files and folders have copied over.
4. Remove usb stick from pc and insert sd card back into R4. R4 menu should appear on DS screen.
this normaly sorts this out. paul

My ds screen sticks on 'loading' when my r4 is inserted...why ?

You only need to use one, if you are using both at the same time that is why. I recommend you format your sd card.
1. Plug SD Reader Into Your PC
2. Go To My Computer
3. Right Click Your SD Card (Usualy F:)
4. Click Format
5. Use the drop down menu to change file system to 'FAT (default)'
6. Uncheck Quick Format If It Is Checked
7. Last Click Format

After that is complete just reload 1.18 kernal onto your r4.
