Just tried top new black cartridge in - seems ok, but scanner not working and shows red light over ink sign

Clean cartridge with sof tissue and alcohol and insert it again, carefully.
btw: are you sure ink is NEW and not a refill? Refills should be good too but sometimes they fail.

Epson wf-2530 - cyan is printing out as a pale pink even after inserting a new cartridhe

My suggestion is to pull the cartridges check your ink collector pad. This is where the extra ink gets wiped from the cartridges as it goes by. make sure that the pad is not pooling up check the bottoms of your cartridges and wipe them clean also and do a quick cleaning inside if you see any extra dust, ink etc.. just wipe it clean. then power your printer off and back on again and see if that helps. Hope it does the trick for you.

I got always the message Print Head not installed

follow these steps:
1.
Turn the open the top cover. Wait for the cartridge carrier to stop moving, then lift the first cartridge out of the printer. Tilt the cartridge forward, then carefully lift it out of the printer.
2.
Examine the electrical contacts on the bottom of the cartridge. Look for any tape that might be covering those contacts. New print cartridges ship with this tape to protect the cartridge and prevent leaks. If you fail to remove this tape, the printer cannot sense the cartridge and it might return a "print head not installed" error.
3.
Remove the rest of the cartridges from the printer. Check them for tape and other obstructions. Also check the cartridges for leaking ink, and clean them if necessary. Discard and replace any cartridges found to be leaking.
4.
Clean the ink cartridge carriers thoroughly, using a soft cloth or a small vacuum cleaner designed for cleaning computer components. Paper dust and ink residue can accumulate in the carrier and cause communication issues with the printer.
5.
Place the ink cartridges back in the printer and close the top cover. Power cycle the printer if the error message does not go away immediately.

5610 hp printer shows insert cartridge on right when i changed to new cartridges. they are new cartridges and are inserted correctly

try this

- Remove the cartridge that is not working. - look for a lint free cloth "coffee filter" then dump w/ water - clean the copper contacts of the cartridge - make sure that the air vent is open; if not pinch it a bit - remove all the cartridges - check if there are are inks spills - use lint free cloth to clean the part where you are have trouble with - install the inks again - run alignment and clean cartridges on the panel
if still nothing works, call HP tech support and ask for replacement of the ink.
note: they will do the same steps again for troubleshooting and documentations. the reason why this happens: - that the copper contact does not touch each other - cartridge air vent is sealed - not an orig HP ink - Print head problem, needs cleaning

I have a C4240 All-In-One HP printer. I just put in a new black cartridge. The alignment page prints, however, when I scan it according to the direction, it fails. This has not happened before. I would...

This may be a long shot, however, have you tried to replace the old cartridge and see what happens?

Given that one may be out of ink, the printer may not accept "a call to print" as my hp printer, but I am thinking that either you may have a defective cartridge or otherwise somehow did not install the cartridge through the correct install method - meaning that if you manually slid the cartridge holder over to insert the new one, it may need to me manually moved back (typically hp has a button to depress to "call" the cartridge holder over towards the center to insert a new one...)

FINALLY -- if it is color - check the ink levels to be sure they have ink - my HP gets real finicky when the color cartridges are nearing empty...

Printer will not print red. The red cartridge seems fine, with ink flowing freely, but it won't print onto the page.

its the problem of print head in your printer. You are not the only one facing this problem there are many other users facing this same problem.in canon printer users out of 10 users ---- 8 users face this problem.
Now I will explain the problem
In the printer where you insert the cartridges is called carriage.in the carriage there is a part called PRINT HEAD. In the print head there are tiny – tiny holes from where the ink passes.when you insert the cartridge in the carriage /head of the printer the ink from the cartridge passes from the head.but if the head is got blocked then the ink will not pass from the head and you get no print out still with the new brand cartridges.now in the printer there is a in built cleaning assembly , so when you give the command of cleaning from your pc/laptop the inbuilt cleaning assembly tries to clean the blocked ink in the tiny holes of the head.but if the ink is got stuck up hard the cleaning assembly in the printer does not have that much power to clean the ink in the head.the other procedure to clean the head is a manual cleaning.in this procedure the head needs to be removed from the printer by disassembling the printer.but in this case out of 100 only 4 to 5 heads gets cleaned and start working but that also don’t last long.its not any guarantee that how much the manually cleaned head will work.
In some cases it has been seen that ink gets used only in cleaning but after inserting new cartridges the printer starts working.if you have inserted new cartridges in the printer and still don’t get any printout then its advisable that you go for any other brand printer.hp is the best brand of printer. Or the other option is you take the printer to local printer repair shop to get the head manually cleaned if you at present don’t want to invest in new printer.a repair center have some special tools to clean the print head its 50 ---- 50 Chance.you can try that first.
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

"No Black Ink Cartridge" after a new cartridge has been inserted

It sounds like the actual ink sensor has failed. You can check if it has a print head cleaning routine in the software on the computer. Most likely the actual ink sensor has died though, I've seen this many times. Call Brother to confirm, or maybe if it's still under any kind of warranty: 877-276-8437

Alignment

Remove both the cartridges from the printer and check the expiry dates on both cartridges, if any of the cartridge is expired then change the cartridge and check the result. If the cartridges are not expired then check the ink levels present in the cartridges from the HP Solution Center. If the ink levels are good then clean the copper contacts of the cartridges with a soft cotton cloth and power cycle the printer.

  1. Turn the product off.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the product.
  3. Wait 30 seconds, and then reconnect the power cord to the product.
  4. Turn the product on.
Now insert the cartridges and align them, after alignment page prints then scan the page.

If it still gives alignment failed message then remove the cartridges and reset the printer and check for the result.

Try opening the printer properties and cleaning the print heads (should probably be done each time a cartridge is changed), it uses some ink up but should clean the build up from running the previous cartridge dry and hopefully solve your printing problem.

Good luck.
