First locate SCROLL LOCK key in keyboard (Normally it in function keys in laptop, and separate on desktop keyboard).
Now press:-
1. SCROLL LOCK Key
or
2. Fn + SCROLL Lock key (if it is colored as the color of Fn key in laptop)

The key just to the right of the space bar is the backlight key. Pressing the backlight key scrolls through the backlight levels of OFF - LOW - MEDIUM - HIGH.

Hold down the backlight key and press the right or left arrow keys to scroll through the colors.(WHITE, RED, AMBER, GREEN, AQUA, BLUE, VIOLET).

However, when the battery is at 20% or less the backlight feature is disabled to conserve the remaining battery charge.

Sounds like yo have the scroll lock or num lock turned on. If the scroll key is a colored key (the scroll lk lettering is blue) then you will have to Press and Hold the FN function key at the lower left portion of the keyboard then hit the scroll key to turn it off. When it is turned on if you press the letter i you get the number 5. If you press the letter O you get the number 6.

Notice that the numbers on the keys that have letters are a different color than the letters (blue most times). That means you have to Press and Hold the blue FN function key at the lower left portion of the keyboard then hit the key with the same color if you want the colored representation to happen.

Some laptops will use a Square Box instead of the blue colors on the keys. In that case you have to press and hold the key a the lower left portion of the keyboard that has the square box, then hit the key you want.

I beleive you have to hold down the Fn key (you'll notice some symbols have a different color, that color should be the same as the color of the Fn key)

On these keyboards, the non colored symbols are typed by holding down the shift key and tapping the symbol. If you want to type the colored key, then you have to hold down the Alt Gr key and tap the colored symbol key.

there is probobly a Fn key somewhere on your keyboard. it should be the same color of the keys you want to press.... use this key like a SHIFT for keys with different color writing on them

on a QWERTY keyboard the Caps Lock Key is under the tab and above the shift. On most laptops that have scaled way down in size and along with that they have created duel usage of keys. You will see keys with letters at the top and the bottom of a key...usually different colors. Look for one that says CAPS Lock and see what color it is. look around for a Fn key of the same coloer. Hit the two keys at the same time.

Usually a third symbol on a key will require the holding of another key to apply that symbol as when holding the shift key to go upper case and what not. But the third the symbol is usually a different color and the key to press to access that symbol is the same color as the symbol is. Such as with many laptop keyboards the FN key (usually at the bottom left side of the keyboard) is a bluish color and pressing it is required to apply the blueish symbols on keys.
