Your copier utilizes a print drum cleaning blade similar to a windshield wiper. That blade is distorted or worn , affecting that area of drum. IF a techie, you could remove BOTH print drum & blade, clean BOTH with cotton "ROUNDS" & SILICONE car polish. Buff drum thoroughly dry, reassemble.

SOURCE: Copy problems

1-if you make a copy on the glass instead of the feeder is it still there?
If no, then clean small 1" glass on copier there is a spot on it. even a pencil or pen dot WILL make a line on all copies. easiest way to find it, line up the paper on the small strip of glass and follow there will be something there ( sometimes it's hard to see since the background is black)
2- the drum has a black toner ring around it replace the drum blade or drum unit

SOURCE: Copystar cs-c2520 i have a faded line down the

Either a problem with the document feeder or something on the glass. If it's faded it may just be a roller not pushing the paper onto the scanning area properly.

SOURCE: After replacing the toner, it will only print on

Only prints the 3/4 of the top, the bottom or the sides?

Remove the cartridge. Be sure the seal was completely removed, shake the cartridge to the sides (like a wave movement) and put it back to the printer. It should fix the problem.

Check the installations instructions for the cartridge at the copier door.

A black line is printed down the middle of pafe

The problem may be from either from the toner cartridge or the settings of the printer. change the toner first and see whether he problem still persist and also make sure that the settings of the printer on your system is ok, if the problem still persist after doing all this then it implies that you need to service your printer.

The fuser is located in the back of the printer. I think it's held in by to screws. It's about hte same size as the toner cartridge. Please visit these websites.

Printing black line when coping

You may need to replace the toner cartridge or the fuser assembly.

If you open the toner cartridge door and see a black line on the roller, you will need to replace the cartridge.

Black line down middle of page

Clean the inside of the printer with a soft rag, be gentle and get as much toner up as you can, also your toner carttridge may be empty or the crum may be bad, start with a fresh toner carttridge and clean the printer out where the cartridge sits.

Copies and faxes come out with 5 inch black area over whole page

Does this same thing happen if you just print a report out of it?

Here's the logic behind this.

If it happens on scanning or copying, but not on printing that's a problem with the scanning section.

If it happens on everything (scanning, printing etc) that's a problem with in the printer controls.

Usually on lasers, if it's printing related, the first thing to do is change the toner.
If the imaging drum (which is part of the toner cartridge) is damaged, it will leave lines down the page.
This is a fairly common problem on refilled toners.

If you have changed the toner, and it still does it, it's a different problem.

HP 3050 Black Line

I was getting a verticle black line and I had to clean the glass, the long white bar above the glass, and the white and black rollers before my problem was solved.

Black line in center on manual feed

If you are getting marks on copies but not prints then it is the small slit of glass prior to copy glass that is marked/dirty
