Likely a failed shaft seal.

The transmission is a sealed component. No maintenance is required on this transmission. If you suspect any transmission problems, please contact your John Deere dealer.

You should be able to change the shaft seal just by removing the half shaft.

It means your machine needs to have seals and bushings replaced. This maintenance should be performed twice per year to keep your Bunn Ultra 2 in working order. This is something you will need to call a technician in to do.

Remove c/v shaft after you get the axle nut off pry drive shaft out of trans axle . ( I assume this is where the leak is) use a small part bar to pry out old seal. Tap into the transaxle the new seal with a small hammer . go slow be careful not to bend the seal. Lube inner lip of seal with vasaline or grease reinstall CV shaft . check fluid level in transaxle . use a repair Manuel to locate the place you have to fill the transaxle and fluid type

the shaft seal is the cup shaped seal between the auger and the shaft. it needs replacing on occasion. the message will come up every 6 months to make sure you check it. to clear the message- the "ultra", "gourmet" and "ice" word under the display are buttons. hold down "gourmet" for a few seconds to get into the menu then release. press "gourmet" until you get to "maintenance done" and select yes. press "gourmet" again until you get to "6 month" and select no. press gourmet until you get out of the menu and you're all set!

There is no way to safely remove shafts, it's not designed to be maintenanced, it's a toy, not a top quality boat.

Front seal is leaking product through cooling drum down shaft out back by auger motor.Product builds up in base of machine and leaks out bottom.Will need a p.m. kit usually required every 6 months.

There is no maintenance requirement for the drive shaft. The U joints on the drive shaft are sealed and cannot be greased. You can change the oil in the final drive and lube the spline at the final drive but that is all.

You need to go through the menu and tell the machine that the maintenance is done, hold down the middle button to get to the menu, then follow on screen prompts and navigate to shaft seal maintenance.

Part numbers 9,15,22, and 33 are all oil seals on that microfiche,are those the ones you found? If you can remove the seal often the part number is stamped on it somewhere, or you can take the seal to a bearing place and they can usually get a comparable one.
