Try pulling the starting rope a little bit out before you pull start it. If this does not work replace the switch.

Fan in 2005 Vw Jetta 2.5 is causing battery to drain, Is there any fuse that I can pull to stop the fan from draining the battery until I get paid and buy the part needed

the problem with pulling the fuse for your fan is that your fan wont come on anymore therefore it won't cool the engine and your engine will probably overheat and that is a very dangerous thing for the motor. A temporary fix would be to pull the fuse and put in a toggle switch then you could turn the fan on and off manually. You need a toggle switch that flips on and off only. There are two connections for the toggle switch. Connect two wires to the toggle switch and run one wire to one side of the fuse and the other wire to the other side of the fuse in place of the fuse itself.

1990 f150 ignition

he probably hooked up the toggle because the ign. swith was bad .the key turns the acuator which turns the switch . it sounds like you replaced the wrong piece . when you unhook the connector on the switch follow the wires to make sure he didn't cut the wire . hopefully he just added a wire to activate the solenoid . Good Luck

Want to make sure my wifi is turned on

If you have a switch, toggle it and then try searching for a wireless network. If you see any then it's on. If not, try toggling again and then search again. If you're still not seeing any wireless networks then pull the power cord from your wireless router for 30 seconds, then plug back in and repeat the steps.

I'm assuming you know you have a working wireless network within range of your laptop, and that it is your own so you have access to the router.

How to put a switch in or do i need new one

By the question you asked I assume it wont power on. More than likely its not the switch . More likely its the power cord because it get most of the abuse. you will need a meter in any case to find out . If you don't have a meter you can pick one up for under $10 at any hardware section of most Dept store chains. A good investment. turn the meter to the omega symbol Looks like an upside down horseshoe with feet. touch the leads together meter should zero. place the probes across the end of the power cord plug. One on each tab. watch the meter and flip the switch while holding the plug and probes together. if the meter doesn't move the switch is probably ok. usually the cord plug or the strain relief going into the machine wares out but check the cord for cuts or unusual ware first. if you dont mind a few inches missing remove the bad area of cord and replace. to verify its the swich or not pull the unit apart and put the meter leads across the switch and toggle the switchthe meter should change from zero the some high number. Good luck have fun and learn !

Hello my name is Matt. I have a 96 Chevy S10 and yesterday evening the alarm started going off. I first tried the remote, but that won't shut it off and I can't find a reset switch in the truck. Followed...

Go back to that blackbox and look for a blue two pin plug. Trace the gray and black wires from that plug to the black push button valet switch or, a silver toggle switch. Once you have located one or the other, turn the ignition on, press and release the valet switch. The older modelalarms came with a toggle switch, so if the toggle switch is present, just cycle it off then on with the ignition on. This should disarm the alarm. Have you started the vehicle lately? The alarmmay be triggering because the battery is dying.

Ceiling fan

mcdevito75 here, You"ll have to remove the cover close to the ceiling to get at the switch, Make sure the wall switch and fuse are out. Note the wire position and replace the switch with 1 from a hardware store. Are you sure that toggle switch is for the lights, as you should have another for the fan. Usually the wakk switch is used to turn the lights on and a toggle switch used to start the fan.

Toggle switch attached to battery or starter

first of all i need to know if the vehicle will start without the toggle switch? if it does then you can just remove it if the vehicle will not start without turning the switch on you should know that the initial power is from this switch so mostly you have problem in the ignition switch and you have to repair or replace the ignition switch before yo disengage the toggle switch.
