No power to the range hood
Make sure there's power getting to the range hood. Check for a
tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket (unless
the hood is hard wired) for power with a voltmeter or by plugging
something else in.

Fan switch
If your range hood only has a fan and no light or any other
features, it won't start with a broken fan switch. Replace the switch if
found defective.
3.
Fan motor
If your range hood only has a fan and no light or any other
features, it won't start with a broken fan motor. Replace the motor if
found defective.
