The possible options are a bind in the machine. Check if it turns as easy as when it was new with the hand wheel. If that is not the problem it could be a motor problem. The most likely problem is the foot control. You can test the foot control by bypassing it with a jumper. You may need an expert to test it. Have a great day.

The threader to the needle wont catch the thread

It takes some getting used to, to get these to work properly. Practice. First make sure your needle is in correctly and fully. then make sure that when you engage the needle threader the tiny little hook goes through the eye of the needle. If it doesn't it won't work at all.

Then follow the instructions in the book. Make sure the thread is on the proper side of the tiny hook....

Good luck

My Shark 7133 slowed down while sewing and stopped. The handwheel won't turn at all. I cleaned the bobbin area but it still won't work. The light switches on and the machine motor reves up but...

Slacken the stop motion as if to wind a bobbin and press on the foot control, if the motor runs really fast then you have either thread stuck in the bobbin case area or you may need to oil the machine

If you undo the foot control you can adjust the screw on trhe end of the spring if you have the button type foot control

I just purchased the sew pro portable zig zag sewing machine model zz 401 and it won?t work, the pedal makes this funny sound and the machine isn?t working. What do i do? I tried everything and tried...

Maybe the drive wheel is disengaged. Some machines have you pull out the wheel on the right to wind a bobbin and yours might be pulled out. Try pushing the wheel back in to engage the machine.

My machine is giving me an error 88 and keeps flashing fast when I turn it on.

I had that problem when the machine was not threaded correctly. I now floss the thread back and forth through the tension area everty time I thread the machine, to make sure the thread is in the right place.
