very common problem "fast in forward, but slow in reverse" is what I hear at my shop all the time nothing you can do, factory made problem for 80% of mowers these days
You need to check the cable, it is a push pull telescopic style so it is possible to get forward and no reverse, if it was a hydro problem you would not get forward or reverse, there is also timing gears on the forward and reverse pedal, you nee to make sure they have not jumped a tooth as this would reduce movement on the cable at the hydro
