I've seen the same problem, went thought a couple of cable boxes. Turned out to be an AC line problem. Try plugging the TV into a different out, maybe in another part of the house.

Same thing just happened to me contacted Vizio had me unplug the TV from the wall for about a minute and then replug and cut the TV back on and everything was fine. I have the television hooked into HDMI1.

I have the same set, same problem with one of my MOTOROLA boxes, but not with another. I have a SONY TV that works fine with this new MOTO box, but the new VIZIO does not. The audio is coming through the HDMI cable just fine, and the fact that it works when you cycle power on your TV means it's the SYNC between the TV and the BOX. I have the identical problem and am taking back the MOTO box for another one. I spoke to VIZIO for about 45 minutes trying different things. They think it's the MOTOROLA box, COX (my cable company) thinks it's this particular box, who knows.

There is an incompatibility between Fios and Vizio audio. To fix the problem, on the Fios box, press "Power" then "Select" then "Menu", one right after the other. This accesses a secret menu on the Fios box. Using the arrow keys on the front of your Fios box, arrow down to "Additional HDMI Settings" then press the right arrow. Another menu will appear (may take a few seconds). Arrow down to "Audio Out" and press the right arrow to change from "Auto" to "L-PCM". Press the Power button to exit the menu. This should solve your problem. Thanks to Vizio tech support for the answer.
