Latitude d600 My internet connection is there (it says the connection is excellent), however when I go into the browser I get "cannot find server". Any suggestions?

I've done everything in solution two, but that didnt help. I have also run the networking wizard, and restarted the computer. It's more of a habitual thing. I'm planning on taking it to the tech people at my university, as I called Dell and they said the problem was the server and not my computer (despite the fact that others can connect just fine).

The excellent connection refers to the wireless signal and not the internet connection, so go to tools on your web browser, internet options, then delete all temp files, history and cookies, close your browser down and open it up again and see if it connects, if not keep clicking refresh.

Try different sites incase there is a fault on the site you are trying to browse.

I can't get on facebook, says internet explorer can't display the page.

Normally this means that you are not connected to the internet. Just to be sure, try going to another site to see if you connect. It also could mean that a site is down that connects to that server, try later.

My Dell Latitude D600 wont connect to the internet and it says my internet driver is gone. How do I download another one and transfer it to my laptop?

you mean that you dont have driver for your Network adaptor or u can say NIC, well u can download it from https://www.dell.com/support/downloads/ then burn it on cd or copy it on a usb flash drive.

if you have dialup connection so u can connect through modem and can download it.

Well i have a dell latitude d600 and i can get the wifi connection on my computer but cant connect to the internet whats going on

if u know the IP address of your router and ur servicve provider's server IP then ping it....
go to Start/Run
in the next window type this
ping 198.168.1.1 -t (the number is the IP address of ur router...replace the number written by me with ur router number)
ping 59.179.243.70 -t (the number here is the IP address of internet service provider server...replace the number written by me with one for your internet service provider server IP address)

the ping window will be a DOS window with responce from the respective server/router with milli seconds mentioned as responce time....if that comes then ur connection is ok
for further info check with ur internet provider

DELL Latitute D600 internet colors display wrong

The problem may be with your browser settings. Try the 'tools' menu on the right of your browser. The privacy or security may be set too high, or the 'browse history' settings, you may have to change things.
