SOURCE: Water not draining from the machine

If it IS the pump, it’s often because some relatively minor item (piece of cocktail stick/bit of nutshell/etc) has found its way past the filters and is blocking the blades of the pump. It is relatively simple to remove the inlet hose to the pump and clear the blockage (a pair of grips to pinch and remove the retaining clip, then the hose will slide off the fitting on the pump). I did this several times on my previous (Hotpoint) machine – and suspect it is no harder on the Bosch (which I now have). If that doesn’t work, you are half-way to replacing the pump, which is not a difficult DIY job and I’m surprised any competent professional repair man wanted to write off a machine where the pump had failed. A new pump should cost around £40-£50 – less than a quarter of the cost of a new machine. DIY fitting would maybe take a couple of hours; a pro ought to do it in less than an hour.

SOURCE: we have a bosch classixx free standing dishwasher

Hello Becky,

The most likely causes are a failed drain pump motor (or capacitor) or a jammed/broken pump impeller. There is a very simply simple test on classixx models which which help you to determine the cause, or where to look next.

1. Turn the wash cycle selector to any wash cycle so the "ON" light is illuminated, but do not press the START/STOP button.
2. Open the door and pull the lower basket out.
3. Locate the 'float', lift it up fully and keep it held up.

(The float is a dome/mushroom shaped protrusion in the base of the washer just to the left of the drain and partially hidden by the spray arm)

When you lift the float, the drain pump should run instantly and the water should drain from the washer. If you can hear a low hum from the pump motor in the base of the washer, but the water doesn't drain, then it's likely that the pump impeller is jammed or it may have broken away from the spindle. If this is the case, try repeatedly lifting and dropping the float fairly rapidly. Repeated stop/start signals to the pump motor can sometimes free a stuck impeller.

If you cannot hear any noise from the base of the washer when you lift the float, then the drain pump motor or the motor capacitor may have failed. A failed capacitor is often accompanied by a buzzing noise. Further testing will be required to determine the exact cause of the fault.

Please try the simple test above and then post back with the results for further assistance.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
BElectric

WHAT DOES ERROR CODE H19 MEAN ON A BOSCH DISHWASHER AND HOW TO FIX IT PLEASE?

I think, this is not an error. The user manual describes how to show the error codes (see picture below). I suppose it comes to delay the start of the program in 1-hour steps up to 24 hours and is indicated by a lowercase "h:1" - "h:24". Also, it is used a capital letter "H:07" when adjusting regeneration depend of the water hardness, but water hardnes is between H:0 - H:7 (so it is impossible H:19).

Bosch classixx dishwasher not heating water on cooler wash works on hot wash

Most dishwashers don't heat the water. They run on whatever temperature water you have it set for. They have heating coils on the bottom but that's for drying, not heating up the wash water.
