What are good codes to make the select button work on the charter 1060bc1 remotes for the LG BD630?

Hey Sarah..
My sound bar automatically connected with the charter remote when I connected the sound bar to the TV with the optical cable.. it cuts the TV (LG) and the sound bar off/on using the charter remote. Sometimes it gets out of sync and I have to use the sound bar remote to cut it on/off.. only once and it starts working again.

you go to the manufacturer web site for your remote to get the codes, if any. Be forewarned that most universals only offer the barest of controls and will not have all of the commands needed for you to access menus, make changes, etc for your dvd player.

If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. For example, to search for a code for your TV:

1. Turn on your TV.
2. On the remote control, press TV once; it blinks once. Then press and hold SET UP until the TV key blinks twice.
3. Enter 9 9 1. The TV key blinks twice.
4. Press 1 (the device code digit for your TV). The TV key blinks twice. Aim the remote control at the TV and press POWER once.
5. Press and release the CH+ key continuously, then stop when the TV turns off.

NOTE: In the searchmode, the remote control sends IR codes fromits library to the selected device, starting with the most popular code first.

1. Press POWER. The TVshould turn on, then press SET UP to lock in the code.

the default for the rh7823w remote is to operate lg tvs. Popping out the batteries should reset the default. my manual saysto select a different tv hold down the tv power button, press the number buttons for the manufacturer code then release power button.

Hold down the moxi and ok button until the remote flashes twice,then enter 9910. The remote will then blink twice again.Then go back and fourth pressing the mute button and the up arrow key(the one above the ok button)this will go thru all the codes,when your tv finally mutes,press ok that means you found the correct code.Hope this helps

Hi Justin, unfortunatly, if the codes they provided you dont work, then there may be no preprogrammed codes for your gear in that particular remote. I suggest that you replace the remote with a inversal one that will do your kenwood and the charter cable rig. Best bet is to go to a retailer that sells remotes and ask for one that will work both. I contacted Vizio the other day. They tell me that they use the same generic codes as LG. I have Suddenlink Cable, formerly Charter, so I still use the Charter remote. My remote only needed 3 digits and I have noticed that many need 4 or 5. I can tell you that the LG code worked for my tv. I can power on/off, volume, and change the channel. All other functions require the manufacture's remote. The code I used is 005. There was also 004 but that did not work on my tv. Hope this helps someone!

Try this: On the Tivo remote press and hold the TV Power button and the Directv/TIVO button at the same time. Hold both buttons down for about 4 seconds or until remote light stays red. Then press the channel up button until the tv turns off. You may press the button over 100 times. You need to go slow. When the TV turns off press the enter button (or select button).
