Why do I get the error code C:32:11 or C:31:42?

The camcorder was left in the trunk of my sons car for a couple months while he was at college. I didn't know it until I went to use it and started getting the error messages. The battery charges, the display lights up but stays blue with the error message, the tape door opens but the carriage won't rise to eject the tape

Does it try to eject the tape? Try a gentle help on that. The tape may have gotten snarled in the camera.

SOURCE: camcorder tape door opening

I had a problem the same as yours and I found the problem on the ribbon wire connected to the board where all the control button is located ( stop, rew, play, fwd pause). The problem occur because everytime you eject the tape from the loading mechanism the ribbon wire also move like your cutting it into pieces. sorry for my english hope you get the idea.... wait for the photo and i'll show you what i mean.. hope this will give you the solution you need.

SOURCE: HDR-HC1 Sony camcorder- reinsert the cassette error message

Bill,

The problem is with the S-reel. Take the tape out, remove the battery, and give it a slight bump. This usually fixes the issue for a couple of weeks. I haven't heard of any permenant fixes. I took my cam into circuit city (before they closed) twice for the same issue. Very frustrating when you don't know what the issue is.

SOURCE: Sony Camcorder DCR-TVR140 NTSC does not recognize tape in camera

daer
this error C:31:23 is related to the s reel and this occurs only when the tension of the tape is more,
solution:
1 st try to change the tape
if the problem persists then u need to take it to the service center as the tape path of the mechanical section is to be adjusted
as you are telling that your camcorder is not showing remaining time (time code ) then head assy. also need to be cleaned ..try to use cleaning tape for 10 sec. not more then that .

My son has a 1991 pontiac firebird v8 base model 5.0. The previous owner put in an inline fuel pump, which is now going (confirmed by a mechanic a couple months ago). My son is away at college and...

If you can identify the manufacturer and model of the fuel pump, you can probably locate a replacement on Amazon or by doing a web search. The inline pumps range from 3psi to 100+psi (used for racing and high-performance engines). Any replacement pump that provides 5-10 psi should be usable.

Is there an easy fix to Panasonic AG-DVC7 camcorder error F05, cylinder lock?

when you press the reset button, the first thing the camera does is a self-test of the mechanism. "cylinder lock" is displayed when the video rec/playback head drum (cylinder) motor does not operate or operates intermittently. this is usually caused by a poor connection on the small cable that connects the head drum assembly with the main control circuitry inside the camera. disassembly of the camera is necessary to clean and re-seat this cable, along with the cable that carries the video information to the head drum. I have repaired several of these cameras with this problem. it's not difficult, but an inexperienced repair person can do more damage than help if they're not careful.

Sony 700X digital handycam

solution 1: Try smacking the side of the camera relatively hard with the palm of your hand. Eject the tape and reinsert. You may need to do this a couple of times. solution 2: Turn off the camcorder. Remove the battery or disconnect the AC power adapter for 60 seconds. Insert the battery or reconnect the AC adapter. Turn on the camcorder. If the error message appears, service may be required. If your camcorder still shows the same error code, then you'll have to send in your camcorder for service additional info that might help: According to the manual, the error code C:31:xx:xx means an error that >the owner can fix by himself has occured and that by taking out the >cassette and replacing it or by disconnecting the battery pack and >fixing it back should solve the problem. Error "23" means: "S reel emergency during normal rotation", i.e. the problem is with the tape deck mechanism and specifically the supply reel.

Fix my camcorder

put your camcorder to your ear closely & turn it on - if you don ' t hear a whirring sound ? ( or instead sounds like a slinky toy ) your tape is wrapped around the heads and the protect circuits are trying to save the tape ; - - moisture can cause this problem if the camera was not in dry or air conditioned environment ( or was left in a car trunk , etc . ) removing a stuck tape is fairly easy but should only be attempted in a clean , dry environment ( if your heads are accidentally damaged , the repairs will be fairly expensive ) ;
