There's always a reason but who cares if there is a good solution. Try rebooting your wifi router and then your PC and see if the connection returns. Also try to delete your WIFI network connection. Then reboot and it should return and so may your connection! If its a secure connection check if your password is correct by opening your WIFI network connection by double clicking it and clicking on wireless properties and then the security tab. Confirm your security key exists and is correct.

Acer Aspire 5733 Wireless connection lost

Check the wireless router and high-speed modem.

If the two are not powered on, or if the Ethernet cable connected the two is not completely inserted into both connection ports, you are unable to access the Internet on the Acer Aspire One laptop computer.

Activate the wireless Internet connection on the laptop computer.

Right-click the wireless icon on the desktop, then choose "Enable" from the pop-up menu.

Without activating the wireless receiver on the Acer Aspire One, the laptop is unable to detect any wireless network.

Select the appropriate network you wish to connect to.

Your computer may be attempting to connect to a different Internet connection, preventing you from access the network you desire. Right-click the wireless icon, select "Search for available wireless networks," then choose the network you want to access.

Restart the computer.

The system may have booted and failed to detect the wireless receiver. Restarting the computer corrects this issue.

hope this helps

I am unable to browse iternet, it showing massage that cannot connect for an unknown reasons please check your internet setting and change them if needed . currently i am using htc touch diamond (cdma)

Hi,

There could be many reasons for your problem.
1. If you use proxy server, make sure the server and the service are up and running
2. If you use proxy server check the Internet options and look for the correct values in the required fields.
3. If you use wireless router check the connection to the router.
4. If you use router check the network configurations. Many of the routers have internet connection test. So login localy to the router interface and check the connection.
5. If everything above is correct try pinging a website from cmd. Open command prompt Start->Run->cmd. Write the command "ping www.google.com" (without the quotes). If you have ping look for application that blocks the http traffic on port 80. If the result is "Request timed out" try to ping 209.85.148.104. If you cannot ping any site or computer outside your network, then you have to call your provider.

My computer when connected to wireless network keeps showing the message "Windows cannot confugure wireless network." It becomes difficult to get it to work.

You may want to disable the built-in utility of the network adapter and let the wireless zero configuration of Windows take up the task of managing the wireless network.

Wifi connection & itouch

I finally discovered the problem. I have a Linksys wireless
router, so when I tried to log on with my iTouch, I got the
message "Unable to join network "my network name" when
I typed in my password. One day, after many trys, I tried
typing in the network security key for my router, and Voila,
it worked. For some unknown reason (to me), the iTouch
recognizes the the network security key as the password.
