Sony walkman mp3 nwz-b135f not showing as a device on my computer

I installed the driver from a download on the web (I don't have internet at home so use library computers). When I go into device manager it does not show up most of the time. Sometimes it shows up, but there are no properties and no driver details. When I go to media player 11 and try to burn songs, my walkman does not show up as an option to burn to. I'm going nuts!!!!! I've been trying to fix this for weeks. I can't burn my CD's on to my MP3.

Cannot connect my NWZ-B135F sony walkman to my computer...my computer shows that sum hardware is attached but it do not recognise it

Hi,

Check if it's properly installed.
else go to google and type in something similar to 'sony nwzb135f driver download'.
see what sites you can find that give you the appropriate downloads, then just install and after a maybe required reboot it will work just fine.

I hope this is useful, and greets,

Olivier.

Non-responsive Sony Walkman Digital Music Player NWZ-B135F

try reseting the device its usualy a small pinhole on the back or side of the device try holding that in for about 10 seconds
try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilitys from the manufacturers website

also try and go download the drivers for it so that you can try and detect the player. If that does not work try plugging it into someone elses computer and see if it works. That way yo can figure out if it is your computer or the player. Sorry I could not be of more help.

Heey i m using sony walkman mp3 player NWZ B135F m not able transfer song to player thro pc rather not showing icon in ma pc.. plz any can tell me hw to do that..!!!

Try resetting the settings on the player, the firmware may have written incorrectly. Also, check if you have a Lib-USB filter program, as it may be blocking your mp3 player. Either uninstall it or look up how to install your device when the filter is active

Device unable to start on computer- Sony walkman NWZ-B135F

hello everyone. i encountered the same problem. after i unplugged themp3 player the screen hung/froze showing only the sony walkman logo. iused the reset feature numerous times, but no luck (initially.)

ima linux user (ubuntu 8.10) and the sony mp3 player NWZ-B135F is in factCOMPATITIBLE with the Ubuntu Linux operating system. i triedlinux suggested solution mentioned in another thread.i let the power drain completely. however after the whole "ithung/froze" incident, even linux was not able to read the usb device.it wouldn't turn on and it wouldn't charge at all. so to troubleshootthis issue i used the Windows XP prof. OS which was able to detect thethe sony mp3 player when plugged into a usb port. but mind you, the mp3player device was not appearing under "my computer"

i downloaded the FIRMWARE for NWZ-B135F found on this page below:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=NWZB135F&SelectOS=7#div_pos_30

afterrunning this program, the Windows XP prof. OS clearly detected the mp3player device and it now appeared under "my computer" as a removabledisk. (at this point, the sony mp3 player lit up and it started tocharge again) i reformatted the sony mp3 player memory to FAT and ranthe NWZ-B130_V1_01.exe (firmware) again. the system reset and itworked! i only had 20 songs so losing the files was no big deal. i wasjust glad it started to work again.

anyway, hope this helps someone. if you have questions, just message me. have a good day.

I followed the steps and finally I reached to a step where it shows “MTP device Problem......” I tried many times with different USB ports, but the same problem happened.

Fully frustrated, I finally did what the whole world does, GOOGLE my problem. Google showed me a lot of posts but nothing could solve my problem. Microsoft was providing the MTP driver, but only after a lot of authentication and procedure, which I was not going to follow….

After repeatedly experimenting by inserting my MP3 player, I got the solution!! It is as follows:

1) Insert your music player in the USB port. You will get a Hardware Installation wizard by XP.
2) Select, “No, Not this time” and click next.

3) Select “Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)”.

4) Select “Don’t search. I will search the driver to install”.

5) Select “USB Mass Storage Device” and then click "Next"

7) Wow!! Now you are done!!!

Enjoy and listen to your favorite music!!
