Since upgrading to Leopard I can not print CD/DVDs.
Software used during problem: EPSON Print CD Version 1.4.0A
I get the following message.
The EPSON printer driver dealing with CD printing is not installed.
I have reinstalled the EPSON Print CD software and drivers but still get
the same message. Any solutions?
message that printer driver is not installed
First, install "epson easyprint" from the epson website. Its found under drivers and support for your unit.
Then click ok on that error message about "driver dealing with..."
After
you click ok on the message, you will get another window where you will
find a "manual print" button. Click on this manual print button and
this will take you to the next window where you have to select "A4 as
the paper size" and "CD/DVD as the paper type and paper path" . After
this, click print... it should start to print! This is just a
workaround until epson gets a patch for leopard for print
cd........hopefully
Just sharing what I ended up doing when I got the 'The EPSON printer driver dealing with CD printing is not installed'
when using EPSON Print CD with my RX650 after installing Leopard.
Only after reloading the EPSON SP RX650 drivers from my old Tiger install disc would EPSON Print CD work.
In Preferences/Print & Fax I added this 'new' driver(after clicking the +) leaving the other one showing as default.
When I ran EPSON Print CD again it found this other driver without me doing anything and I'm now back printing DVD's again.
I don't claim this to be a 'Best Solution' just one after hours of frustration that worked for me.
Can;t seem to get this to work. tried all still getting no driver error. leopard. print cd V1.06e
Under the FILE menu (when in PrintCD) choose UPDATE PRINTER INFORMATION. I downloaded the new drivers from Epson but got the "no CD driver" message until I did this.
Works now!
I got this from Apple Support; ‘Turns out the settings are quite different from the Tiger settings. Now, to print to a CD/DVD you have to go to Page Setup and chose to print on CD/DVD. Then in the menu do the rest. Once I figured that out, all went well and the drivers do work way Epson indicated. The menus are just a bit different.’

I had the same problem with an Epson R340 printer and Epson Print CD software after installing Leopard. Here's what I did. Go to System Preferences. Select Print & Fax. Select the "+" box on the lower left part of the screen. Select Epson Printer -- USB and click "Add" and "continue" in the box that comes up (if it does). Now see if Epson Print CD will print to a CD. If it does, great. You can now actually go back to System Preferences and Print & Fax and delete the printer you just added by clicking on the "-" box and Epson Print CD will still work. Now I found another problem with printing. The CD printing is now off center to the right and down, so in Epson Print CD program you have to click on print and from the print screen click on "Position Adjustment" in the bottom left corner. I've found the perfect position is 3.5 mm up and 3.5 mm left to make everything print perfectly. Good luck.

You will nee the latest version of Print CD version 1.6 or above. Version 2 can now be downloaded from the Epson website free of charge. You will also need the latest Easy Print Module and latest printer driver.

I follow the same procedure, and I got the same result. The positive part is that I can print the different papers, glossy matte etc, but I cannot print CD's
I have just been in-touch with Epson after the same problem and all they do is try and sell you a new CD print driver. Gangsters
