Repair a sharp aquous

The TV does not turn on. Power light is blinking at a steady pace. Have tried unplugging it and a few other techniques found on line including holding volume and channel down buttons while plugging it in. Any other self repair techniques?

Fault with main board. Damaged component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

SOURCE: I have a Sharp LC-46E77UN

THe problem is in the set top box. Or common called the tuner box. IT looses the 5 volts to the main display and thus the monitor will go into a shut down state. THESE boxes are factory repair only and must be sent off to repair.

SOURCE: Sharp LC37D44U Power LED was flashing green. TV

I had the same problem. all the service reset would only make the display come on for a few second with no "k" on the screen - only the channel would show up. I purchased a complete set of board for the lcd on ebay, and started swapping them one by one. The inverter boards were the culpret. Tele working 100% since that board swap.

Opc sharp aquous no picture is coming up and opc light is blinking.is this why its not working? none of the controls are working no menu is showing up. trying to fix it. is there any way to reset it?

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Sharp lc-32sb220u lcd tv. Green Power LED flashes steady

Okay, I found the problem. There is a problem with the
ccfl (lamp) groung PCB. Mine is completely burnt through. I am going to attempt to repair it, but will likely need to extract it from a different unit. This board is on the front right of the lx in the lamp housing behind the
lcd panel. What is happening: The inverter circuit on the power supply is detecting that one of the lamps is not lighting and it goes into shut down.

Hope this helps!

I turned my TV on and no image appeared, it stayed completely black. The power/standby light just keeps blinking with a yellow light at a steady pace. Its not the lamp light (which is below the...

Well the blinking is an Error code, The TV circuits are detecting a problem, preventing power on and displaying the error code. Unfortunately the codes are not very useful .Next step would be to open i up and check for power at a few points. Look for poped caps etc, Aside from that take it in for repair or sell for parts

Brand new Sharp Aquous 37". I turned the tv on and a blinking green light comes and goes. I tried to turn it off and the blinking green light still on and no picture and no audio.

Behind your TV, there should be a system reset button.
If this doesn't fix the problem, most of the time this means a part has failed inside the TV. I would use the warranty and take it back and exchange it. You shouldn't be having this problem right out of the box.
I would have them check the new one so you don't have to waste a trip.

No POWER

How many times does the POWER led flash per second? (Dont worry about the OPC).

1x (steady constant blink) = Lamps or inverters
2x = Power Supply
3x = Main Unit

If i am reading it correctly, looks like the POWER led is flashing 2x, which means it is a power supply failure. Either way, your TV needs to have a board replaced, there isn't anything you can do to fix it yourself. Try locating your local sharp authorized service center to repair your TV (1-800-237-4277)
